Composite Moon-Mercury

The conjunction between the Moon and Mercury indicates a relationship where the intellectual and the emotional are blended. It is as though they can read each other’s minds through a telephathic link, and can finish each other’s sentences. They love talking about anything and everything with each other, especially their feelings. They enjoy being ‘on the go’ and taking short trips together.

The sextile and trine act similarly to the conjunction, but with less intensity. These are wonderful aspects to see in a Composite Chart. They show good emotional communication and an ease in expressing your feelings to each other.

The opposition between the Moon and Mercury can bring friction and fascination. The opposition between the Moon and Venus shows an “opposites attract” scenario. The way love is expressed in this relationship stands in opposition to the way the couple expresses emotions. For example if the Composite Moon is in Virgo, the couple will express their through practical means, such as being in service to each other.

However, if the Composite Venus is in Pisces, one person may express their love in a dreamy and impractical way, which is opposite to what Virgo represents. This isn’t a bad thing at all, as the couple will show each other different ways to love, but it may take some compromise and mutual understanding to truly appreciate one another.

The square between the Moon and Venus can bring friction to the relationship, as well as fascination. There is certainly an attraction between the two, but a long-term commitment will require compromise. It is likely that at least one of the partners feels very unappreciated by the other.

Composite Moon-Node

The conjunction between the Moon and North Node in the Composite Chart is an excellent aspect to see in a Composite Chart, especially if it is in the 5th or 7th house, or if the Moon rules the 7th house of the chart.   There is a feeling of “going somewhere” with the other person.

North Node connections can feel very uncomfortable for some, as it represents leaving one’s comfort zone.   Ultimately, there is a feeling the relationship is ‘meant to be’. The relationship is based on shared feelings and nurturing, and each partner in this relationship will develop emotionally as a result of their union.

This is a very binding aspect, as both partners feel they are on a journey together. There is a strong feeling of moving forward and progress. I have seen this aspect many times in the charts of married couples, due to the themes of caring and nurturing.

The conjunction between the Moon and South Node in the Composite Chart indicates a significant past-life connection. The two of them feel immediately comfortable and safe with each other, as though they had met before. Perhaps they had a parent-child relationship in a past life.

The connection between them is easy and comfortable, and they feel immediately attached. Because of the nature of the South Node, this aspect indicates the couple reunited in order to address unfinished business from a past life.

On the downside, the relationship may eventually feel draining for at least one of the partners. The lack of progress or evolving in this relationship may also be bothersome to at least one of the partners (but this depends on the couple’s individual natal charts)
