Moon in the 12 Houses Synastry: A Complete Guide

The Moon represents our emotional needs and the way we express our feelings. Where one person’s Moon falls in another person’s chart shows where the Moon person brings their emotional energies in the Chart person’s life. As a rule, it is generally the House person who feels the energy the most; their house is being stimulated by the Moon person’s energy.

The Venus person may find Mercury too detached, critical, or unemotional, while Mercury may view Venus as overly sensitive, idealistic, or focused on feelings rather than facts.

Communication about emotional issues can become challenging. The Mercury person may believe they are simply being honest, while the Venus person may feel hurt by the delivery. Similarly, Venus may express affection in a way Mercury does not fully recognize or understand.

Differences in interests, tastes, music, culture, or social preferences may also become noticeable.

Mercury Opposite Venus Synastry

Mercury opposite Venus synastry creates a strong attraction between two people, but it can also highlight differences in communication and relationship expectations.

This aspect can create disagreements about values, interests, social preferences, or the way affection should be expressed. One person may feel they are communicating clearly while the other feels misunderstood.

The positive side of Mercury opposite Venus is that it encourages both people to expand their perspective. Mercury can teach Venus to see situations more objectively, while Venus can help Mercury become more aware of emotional needs.

When both people make an effort to understand each other’s communication styles, this aspect can create a relationship that balances intellect and affection.

Mercury Conjunct Uranus Synastry

In astrology, Mercury represents communication, thoughts, ideas, and the way we process information, while Uranus represents originality, independence, change, and unconventional thinking.

When one person’s Mercury is conjunct their partner’s Uranus in synastry, communication becomes one of the most exciting and stimulating parts of the relationship. The Uranus person inspires the Mercury person’s mind, introducing new perspectives, unusual ideas, and ways of thinking that Mercury may never have considered before.

This aspect creates a strong intellectual connection. Conversations can feel effortless, unpredictable, and exciting, with both people enjoying discussions about unusual topics, technology, philosophy, current events, or anything that challenges traditional thinking. The Uranus person encourages Mercury to step outside their comfort zone, while Mercury gives Uranus a platform to express their innovative ideas.

However, this aspect can also create a restless dynamic. The couple may make impulsive decisions or jump quickly from one idea to another without fully considering the consequences. Uranus may challenge Mercury’s opinions so much that Mercury feels mentally overwhelmed, while Uranus may become frustrated if Mercury seems too cautious or conventional.

Mercury Square or Opposite Uranus Synastry

Hard aspects between Mercury and Uranus create a relationship filled with mental stimulation, but they can also lead to disagreements and misunderstandings.

The Uranus person challenges the Mercury person’s beliefs and communication style, pushing them to think differently. While this can lead to exciting conversations and personal growth, it can also create tension if either person becomes too attached to their own viewpoint.

Mercury may see Uranus as unpredictable, rebellious, or difficult to understand. Uranus may view Mercury as overly logical, predictable, or resistant to change. Communication can sometimes become erratic, with sudden arguments, unexpected comments, or disagreements that arise out of nowhere.

The couple may also struggle with consistency. Uranus energy values freedom and spontaneity, while Mercury may prefer more structure and reliability. Plans can change suddenly, and both people may need to learn patience and flexibility.

At its best, this aspect creates a relationship where both individuals continuously challenge and inspire each other. At its worst, it can feel mentally exhausting if neither person is willing to listen and compromise.

Mercury Sextile or Trine Uranus Synastry

The harmonious aspects between Mercury and Uranus create an exciting and intellectually compatible connection. Communication flows easily, and both people appreciate each other’s unique perspectives.

The Uranus person encourages Mercury to explore new ideas, while Mercury helps Uranus organize and communicate their innovative thoughts. Together, you may enjoy learning, experimenting, traveling, or exploring subjects that expand your understanding of the world.

This aspect often indicates a friendship-like quality within the relationship. You enjoy talking to each other and may feel that your partner understands your thoughts in a way that few others do.

There is a natural openness between you, allowing both people to express unusual opinions without fear of judgment. The relationship stays mentally stimulating because both individuals encourage growth, curiosity, and independence.

The greatest strength of Mercury-Uranus synastry is the ability to keep each other’s minds open. This connection thrives when both people appreciate their differences rather than trying to change one another.

Juno in Synastry: Complete Guide to Meaning and Compatibility

In Astrology, Juno represents the “good wife”. According to the myth, Juno was Jupiter’s wife. He cheated on her, yet she still stayed with him, and fulfilled her traditional duties. Think of Juno as the “Eve” of Astrology. Consider Juno as the antithesis of Lilith; Juno is seen as the ‘wife’, while Lilith is seen as the ‘mistress.’ Juno remains loyal and faithful to Jupiter regardless of his indiscretions, while Lilith disallows any man to cross her.

In the natal chart, the house and sign placement of our natal Juno reveals the kind of person we are meant to marry. While Venus and Mars represent our ideal mate, Juno represents loyalty and attachment. Juno represents what we need in a mate, rather than simply who we are attracted to. Many astrologers have gone as far as to say Juno represents our true love or marriage partner.

Juno in Aries: Your partner will be fiery, direct, aggressive, and active.

Juno in Taurus: Your partner will be stubborn, stable, and physically attractive. This aspect can also indicate material prosperity after marriage.

Juno in Gemini: Your partner will be talkative, curious, and intelligent. This aspect sometimes indicates multiple marriages.

Juno in Cancer: Your partner will be sensitive, dependent, and emotional.

Juno in Leo: Your partner will be creative, egotistical, energetic, and full of life.

Juno in Virgo: Your partner will be hard-working, health-conscious, and critical. He might work in the health field.

Juno in Libra: Your partner will be attractive, loving, sociable, and well-mannered.

Juno in Scorpio: Your partner will be sexual, mysterious, and perhaps jealous.

Juno in Sagittarius: Your partner may come from a different locality or cultural background. You may meet your partner abroad. He will be philosophical, honest, and may be interested in higher learning.

Juno in Capricorn: Your spouse will be a corporate type. He might be older, and you may meet him later in your life (after your Saturn Return).

Juno in Aquarius: The partner will be original, independent, logical. You may meet through friends.

Juno in Pisces: Your partner will be dreamy, artsy, and imaginative. Make sure you don’t marry someone simply because you think he needs “help”!

In the case of the opposition, it can be a case of ‘opposites attract’ in which the Venus person has different, yet complementary qualities that the Juno person looks for in a mate.

In the case of the square, the Juno person is fascinated by the Venus person. The Venus person is not their regular type, especially in regards to the way they show love and their taste. Despite this, there is a lot of attraction towards the Venus person, for they represent a different type of partner the Juno person is used to.

Juno-Mars synastry:

In the case of the opposition, it can be a case of ‘opposites attract’ in which the Sun person has different, yet complementary qualities that the Juno person looks for in a mate.

Juno-Jupiter synastry:

Juno and Jupiter are natural partners for one another. The Jupiter person expands Juno’s desire for commitment and marriage, and feels she has met her match in the Jupiter person. On the downside, the Jupiter person may make the Juno person suspicious of infidelity.

The conjunction of Juno and Jupiter is one of the best Juno Synastry aspects of all. The sextile and trine aspects are also very positive and increases the chances of marriage.

The square and opposition are very powerful, as well. In this case, the Jupiter person may have a different belief system than the Juno person, which could cause issues with formalizing a partnership. There may be a tendency for the partners to encourage wastefulness and excess in each other.

Juno-Saturn synastry:

The Asteroid of marital commitment meets the planet of commitment! Juno feels safe and secure with Saturn. Saturn stimulates Juno’s desire to settle down. As such, it is very easy for them to commit to each other.

This is especially true for the conjunction, sextile and trine. The Juno person admires the Saturn person’s wisdom and maturity, and see them as someone they can commit to for life.

In the case of the square and opposition, the Saturn person is not the Juno person’s ideal type. The Juno person may find the Saturn person cold and unattached, and may find it difficult to get Saturn to commit to them. There may be barriers to formalizing a commitment.

Juno-Uranus synastry:

The Astroid of marital commitment in aspect to the planet of freedom! The Juno person find the Uranus person’s uniqueness and individuality very attractive. The Uranus person redefine. what the Juno person considers their “type”. The Uranus person shows the Juno person the importance of independence in a relationship.

This is especially true for the conjunction, sextile and trine. The Juno person finds the Uranus person very exciting and attractive.

In the case of the square and opposition, the Juno person is likely very attracted to the Uranus person, even though the Uranus person is not their regular type at all. The Uranus person challenges the Juno person’s idea of a perfect relationship. Uranus is a rather non-committal planet, so it can indicate open or non-traditional relationships.

Juno-Neptune synastry:

This aspect indicates the union between marital commitment and spirituality. The Juno person is in love with the Neptune person’s dreamy and romantic nature. The Juno person may see the Neptune person as an ideal mate. At the same time. The Juno person must ensure they are not projecting their ideals onto the Neptune person and the relationship.

This is especially true for the conjunction, sextile and trine. The Juno person admires the Neptune person, and sees them as their ideal mate.

In the case of the square and opposition, the Juno person may feel the Neptune person is their soulmate, but whether or not this is true depends on how clearly the Juno person is seeing the Neptune person. The Juno person might project their ideal mate’s qualities onto the Neptune person, and the Neptune person might play along with this to save the Juno person from disappointment.

Juno-Pluto synastry:

The Pluto person transforms the Juno persons idea of the ideal marriage partner. The Juno person may become obsessed with the idea of marrying the Pluto person. These two take commitment very seriously.

This is especially true for the conjunction, sextile and trine. The Juno person admires the Pluto person, and admires their inner strength and power.

In the case of the square and opposition, the Pluto person may be too forceful in trying to transform the Juno person’s ideas about marriage and commitment.  The Juno person knows what they want, but Pluto is not one to give in to people’s demands. There may be power struggles between the couple.

Juno-North Node synastry:

This is an excellent indication of long term commitment and marriage, given the rest of the synastry is supportive. The couple naturally settles into partnership and feel they are ‘meant to be’ together.

Juno-South Node synastry:

This aspect indicates the couple was likely married in a past life and have reunited in this lifetime to attend to unfinished business. There is a strong sense of familiarity and comfort with each other, and it feels natural to partner together. This could definitely mean this couple will get married (again), but the South Node person may feel the Juno person’s reinforces habits they need to leave behind.  The rest of the synastry chart should be considered, especially any North Node aspects.

Juno-Juno synastry:

Juno in positive aspect to another person’s Juno shows compatibility and similarities in regards to what each partner needs in a relationship. The conjunction is a powerful indication of compatibility, for it shows the couple is looking for the same thing in a relationship and marraige partner.

The sextile and trines are also very positive, as it shows you are both looking for similar qualities in a marriage partner.

The square and opposition indicate your ideas about marriage and partnership are very different. The two of you may be looking for different qualities in a partner and a relationship. This in itself is not a deal breaker, as it is important to consider the entire chart.

It is more important to look at how each person’s Juno aspects the other person’s planets and angles to gauge true compatibility.

According to a study, certain Juno aspects were commonly found in the synastry charts of married couples, including: Juno conjunct North Node, Juno conjunct Juno, Juno trine Venus, and Juno trine Mars.

Examples:

  • My sister and her fiancé have several Juno contacts in Synastry. Her Juno in Libra conjuncts his Sun and Mercury. His Juno in Capricorn conjuncts her Mars.
  • My mother and father (who have been married for over 30 years), have strong Juno aspects in synastry, as well. His Juno conjuncts her Jupiter (a perfect match) and opposes her Mars. Her Juno opposes his Saturn/Mars conjunction.
  • Angelina Jolie’s Juno is conjunct Brad Pitt’s Descendant, and his Juno trines her Venus and Saturn.
  • Paul Newman’s Juno is opposite Joanne Woodward’s Jupiter, and her Juno is conjunct his Venus and Mercury, and opposite his Pluto.
  • David Beckham’s Juno is square Victoria Bekham’s North Node and Juno.
  • Linda McCartney’s Juno is located in Paul McCartney’s first house, while Paul’s Juno is conjunct Linda’s Venus.

Astrology Marriage Indicators: Synastry Placements for Lasting Love

Which Synastry Aspects indicate marriage?

Determining marriage from a synastry chart can be challenging. Sometimes, “obvious” marriage indicators (i.e. planets in each other’s 7th house) fail to predict a couple’s future. After studying several synastry charts of married/long-lasting couples, there were a few aspects which stood out to me.

These aspects are said to be indicators of star-crossed lovers. The nodal axis represents our life’s path: the South Node represents “where we’ve been,” while the North Node represents “where we’re going.”

Squares to this axis in synastry indicate an instant feeling of familiarity and attraction to one another. It may be difficult for each person to resist the pull of the relationship. The planet person may be part of an unresolved issue the North Node is carrying from the past, and must resolve in this life.

Some examples:

  • Angelina Jolie’s Moon and Mars square Brad Pitt’s North Node
  • Paul Newman’s Sun squares Joanne Woodward’s North Node, and Joanne’s MC squares Paul’s North Node
  • Victoria Beckham’s Moon squares David’s North Node, Victoria’s North Node squares David’s vertex
  • Linda McCartney’s North Node squares Paul McCartney’s Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter
  • Cash Warren’s ascendant is square Jessica Alba’s North Node
  • Prince William’s Pluto squares Kate Middleton’s North Node, Kate’s Mars squares Will’s North Node
  • Julia Roberts’ Mars squares Danny Morder’s North Node
  • Oprah’s North Node squares Stedman’s Jupiter
  • Bill Clinton’s Sun squares Hillary’s North Node
  • Frank Sinatra’s North Node squares Nancy Sinatra’s Moon and Jupiter
  • Ava Gardner’s North Node squares Frank Sinatra’s Sun, Frank’s Jupiter squares Ava’s North Node
Planets in conjunction or opposition to another’s Vertex:

The Vertex acts like a second Ascendant, while the anti-Vertex is like a second Descendant. The Vertex is often referred to as our “point of fate.” As a result, when someone’s planet or point conjuncts your Vertex or anti-Vertex, you feel drawn towards this person.

The relationship feels fated, and can indeed change your life. You feel destined to be together, and this feeling can easily last a lifetime. One person’s North Node conjunct or opposite another person’s Vertex are apparently very common aspects to find among married partners.

Some examples:

  • Angelina’s Venus/Ascendant conjunct Brad’s Vertex, Brad’s Ascendant conjuncts Angelina’s Vertex
  • Frank Sinatra’s Vertex opposes Nancy Sinatra’s Venus, Nancy’s Vertex opposes Frank’s Part of Fortune
  • Paul Newman’s Moon conjuncts Joanne Woodward’s anti-Vertex; Joanne’s Moon and Mars conjunct Paul’s Vertex. Their Vertexes are conjunct.
  • Victoria Beckham’s anti-Vertex is conjunct David Beckham’s Mercury and opposite North Node.
  • Paul McCartney’s Vertex is conjunct Linda’s South Node
  • Prince William’s Vertex opposite Kate’s Venus
  • Julia Roberts’ North Node is conjunct Danny Morder’s anti-Vertex; Julia’s anti-Vertex is conjunct Danny’s Sun and Mercury. In addition, Danny’s North Node is conjunct Julia’s anti-Vertex
  • Oprah’s Mars conjuncts Stedman’s Vertex, Stedman’s Neptune is conjunct Oprah’s Vertex
  • Hillary Clinton’s Vertex is opposite Bill Clinton’s Moon
Part of Fortune:

I was surprised to see how often conjunctions and oppositions of one person’s planets or points to another person’s Part of Fortune occurred in the charts of married couples!  The Part of Fortune (POF) is the synthesis of a person’s Ascendant, Sun, and Moon, so perhaps it should not be so surprising.

The POF is a point that indicates good fortune. When another person’s planets or points conjunct or oppose your POF, they will likely help you increase your wealth and happiness, and achieve your goals. According to Robert Hand, the POF is also an indicator of the physical body and its relationships with the social world. Thus, it makes sense that POF aspects in synastry are often found in the synastry charts of married couples.

  • Joanne Woodwards’s POF is conjunct Paul Newman’s Sun
  • David Beckham’s Sun is conjunct Victoria’s POF, and David’s POF is conjunct Victoria’s Mars and Saturn
  • Paul McCartney’s POF is conjunct Linda’s Moon and Venus
  • Cash Warren’s POF is conjunct Jessica Alba’s Jupiter/Saturn conjunction
  • Prince William’s POF is opposite Kate Middleton’s POF, Kate’s POF is conjunct Wills’ North Node
  • Danny Morder’s POF is conjunct Julia Roberts’ Mercury, Danny’s Vertex is conjunct Julia’s POF
  • Stedman’s POF is conjunct Oprah’s Jupiter, Oprah’s POF is conjunct Stedman’s Sun, Mercury, and North Node
  • John Lennon’s POF is conjunct Yoko Ono’s POF
  • Hillary Clinton’s POF is opposite Bill’s Mercury and Saturn
  • Frank Sinatra’s POF is conjunct Nancy’s Anti-Vertex
  • Ava Gardner’s POF is opposite Frank Sinatra’s Sun and Mercury
Sun-Venus or Venus-Venus synastry aspects:

Sun-Venus contacts in synastry are highly touted by astrologers, and for good reason! When this aspect appears in synastry, the couple feels affection and love for one another. If these contacts do not show up in synastry, Venus-Venus contacts can be substituted.

When one person’s Venus contacts another person’s Venus, your love styles are similar. You easily get along, and instinctively know how the other person wants to be loved. The conjunction and opposition are most potent, and the trine and sextile are powerful, as well. These aspects indicate instant love and affection for one another, as well as a feeling of joy when you are together. These aspects can indicate a love that lasts forever. When this aspect is mutual, the love is even stronger.

  • Angelina’s Venus opposes Brad’s Venus
  • Paul Newman’s Venus sextiles Joanne’s Venus
  • David Beckham and Victoria Beckham have a Venus/Sun sextile double whammy
  • Paul McCartney’s Venus is opposite Linda’s Venus
  • Prince William’s Venus trines Kate’s sun, Kate’s Venus biquitiles Wills’ Sun
  • Danny Morder and Julia Roberts have a Sun/Venus bi-quintile double whammy
  • Stedman’s Venus is sextile Oprah’s Sun
  • John Lennon’s Venus is opposite Yoko’s Sun, Yoko’s Venus trines John’s Sun
  • Frank Sinatra’s Venus squares Nancy Sinatra’s Sun, Frank’s Sun squares Nancy’s Venus
Venus/Saturn Aspects :

Saturn aspects in synastry are described as « relationship glue ». Saturn is the planet of commitment, while Venus is the planet of Love. As such, couples who have strong Venus-Saturn aspects (especially double-whammies!) in their Synastry charts have little problem committing to each other. These relationships are usually long-lasting.

  • Joanne Woodward’s Saturn conjuncts Paul Newman’s Venus, Paul’s Saturn trines Joanne’s Venus
  • Victoria Beckham’s Saturn is conjunct David’s Venus, David’s Saturn is trine Victoria’s Venus
  • Cash Warren’s Saturn trines Jessica Alba’s Venus, and her Saturn sextiles Cash’s Venus
  • Julia Roberts’s Saturn conjuncts Danny Morder’s Venus, Danny’s Saturn quincunxes Julia’s Venus
  •  Oprah’s Saturn quincunxes Stedman’s Venus, Stedman’s Saturn trines Oprah’s Venus
  • John Lennon’s Saturn squares Yoko Ono’s Venus
  • Ava Gardner’s Saturn squares Frank’s Venus

Black Moon Lilith in Astrology: Natal and Synastry Explained

One of my longest relationships featured a Lilith-Sun/Ascendant conjunction in synastry. I was the Sun/Ascendant person, while he was the Lilith person. It was a complicated, intense, spicy hot love affair that changed both of our lives.

In Hebrew tradition, Lilith was Adam’s first wife. Unlike Eve, Lilith was created from the ground, the same way Adam was created. She was highly sexual, but not out of desire for procreation. Indeed, she was not satisfied with traditional forms of love-making.

Lilith refused to submit to patriarchal authority, and decided to leave the Garden of Eden. This angered Adam, and he threatened that if she didn’t return, 100 of the children she birthed ever day would die.

Lilith, however, became angry and did not return to Adam. Instead, she continued to birth children (despite the fact that they were destined to die). She would seduce men when she was bored, then murder them or drive them to insanity. Adam eventually had God create Eve from his rib, as he found Lilith too difficult to handle.

Lilith in the Natal Chart

Lilith in a woman’s chart shows how and under which circumstances her sexual energy is released. Lilith also relates to where and how we use our feminine power, and shows us the place where we hold vengefulness.

Prominent feminists and women in positions of considerable power have strongly placed Liliths in their charts. Think Gloria Steinam and Hilary Clinton. Think Samantha from “Sex and the City,” who refused to submit to men in the workplace, and in bed. She had sex “like a man,” and didn’t apologize for it, despite societal expectations.

Lilith represents the temptress, seducer, and is often compared to a “home wrecker.” Lilith represents the scary side of women, and what men fear the most.

The fulfillment of her sexual appetites and desires was what Lilith cared for the most, and any attempt to hamper her sexual self-expression was met with hostility and violence. Lilith is magnetic, and has the power to mesmerize those she comes in contact with. She uses sexuality to further her own goals, and takes no prisoners.

In a man’s chart, Lilith represents the type of woman he fears, and craves, the most. It is the type of woman that can drive him over the edge with obsession and desire.

As evidenced in the story of Adam and Lilith, (many) men are inherently uncomfortable with sexually liberated and unapologetic who break the mold of Eve, who represents the “traditional wife”. They feel threatened by her, and seek to suppress and limit her, while affording themselves the rights to do as they please.  This is why men label “promiscuous” women as “sluts”, yet congratulate themselves and one another for their own sexual conquests.

Lilith in Synastry

In synastry, Lilith brings an untamed, wild sexual energy, feelings of obsession, and intense, transformative interactions. When your Lilith aspects your someone’s planet (especially the Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, or the Ascendant), you are magnetically attracted to this person, and can’t get them out of your mind. This aspect shows an amazing amount of sexual chemistry and an obsessive attraction.

Like Pluto, Lilith aspects in synastry act to draw out each person’s sexuality. Lilith sex is tantric, obsessive, and highly addictive. Couples with strong Lilith in synastry have an incredibly strong sexual attraction to one another, and it is difficult to keep them apart!

Logic does not apply in Lilith relationships. Indeed, Lilith is what makes a man end a 20-year marriage out of the blue. Indeed, Lilith’s reputation as a “home wrecker” is well deserved. On the plus side, she can break someone free of their safe, habitual behavior.

Lilith relationships do not usually last, unless there are other supportive aspects. Couples with strong Lilith synastry aspects often break down due to feelings of unworthiness, rage, and revenge. Sometimes, the Lilith person keeps the planet person under her spell until she has succeeded in destroying the life of the planet person.

Jupiter Conjunct Natal Venus: The Luckiest Transit for Love and Money?

Jupiter’s transit to your natal Venus is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding transits in astrology. Venus rules love, relationships, money, beauty, pleasure, and self worth, while Jupiter expands whatever it touches. During this transit, opportunities often seem to arrive more easily, attracting romance, financial growth, social connections, and moments of happiness. Although the effects depend on your natal chart and the aspects Jupiter makes, this is generally considered one of the luckiest periods for enjoying life’s pleasures and opening yourself to abundance. Here’s what you can expect when transiting Jupiter aspects your natal Venus.

Transiting Jupiter conjunct, sextile or trine your natal Venus

When Jupiter conjuncts, sextiles, or trines your natal Venus, your love nature is stimulated. This transit is likely to bring someone new into your life! Jupiter is the planet of abundance, good luck, and optimism.

Jupiter thus expands your love sector during this time and increases your opportunities for romance. During this period, you are more optimistic and hopeful when it comes to matters of the heart. You are sociable, affectionate and loving.

People take notice of your open, positive nature. This is often the time when you meet someone new, or increase your dating opportunities. This is also a time where you will have many invites to social gatherings, which increases your chances of gaining admirers.

You may find you attract people of different ethnic backgrounds during this time. In fact, during this transit, you are the life of the party!

I met the love of my life when Jupiter transited conjunct my natal Venus. My ex-boyfriend met me when Jupiter was conjunct his Venus and sextile my Venus. One of my best friends met her current boyfriend when Jupiter was trine her Venus. I could go on, but you get the picture.

Transiting Jupiter square or opposite your natal Venus

During a square and opposition between transiting Jupiter and your natal Venus, your love nature is expanded. However, this transit can indicate that you may take foolish risks in love.

You may tend to promise more than you can deliver to your partner, which can ultimately lead to disappointment on their part. Alternately, you may have unrealistic expectations from your partner, which can lead towards disappointment on your part.

The danger of over-doing, over-spending and over-indulging is likely with this transit. In fact, this transit can indicate weight gain and financial irresponsibility, so be careful!

While Jupiter transits, on their own, do not necessarily indicate the beginning of a long-term, life changing romance, it can indicate a positive time for dating and creating new social connections. Another possible interpretation for this transit is that either you or your partner may feel the need for increased freedom from your relationship.

If Venus rules, or is situated in your 1st house, you are likely to experience increased confidence and popularity. You feel attractive and “in the spotlight.” Hard transits can indicate an overbearing attitude.

If Venus rules, or is situated in your 2nd house, you may experience financial success. Hard transits can indicate significant financial gains or losses. Be careful with reckless spending.

If Venus rules, or is situated in your 3rd house, your relationships with relatives may improved. In addition, your communication and thinking processes may be more optimistic and expansive.

If Venus rules, or is situated in your 4th house, your home life and relationship with your parents is improved. You may re-decorate your home at this time.

If Venus rules, or is situated in your 5th house, your social and romantic life will improve during this time. You may meet someone new. The hard transits indicate an unstable romantic life, and partners who promise more than they can deliver. Beware of an inflated ego at this time.

If Venus rules, or is situated in your 6th house, you may become increasingly focused on your work and health. You may take on a new diet or exercise regimen. Health and work are positive at this time.

If Venus rules, or is situated in your 7th house, a new relationship may enter your life, or your current relationship will be strengthened. If this is a hard aspect, your partner may desire more freedom, or may become overbearing.

If Venus rules, or is situated in your 8th house, sexual opportunities may pop up! Beware of overspending. This transit can also indicate a sudden windfall.

If Venus rules, or is situated in your 9th house, you may have the opportunity for travel or higher learning. If this is a hard aspect, you may experience a crisis of faith, or become part of an extreme religious group. Watch out for the tendency of appearing “holier than thou” to others.

If Venus rules, or is situated in your 10th house, changes to your career or social status are likely to improve. You may receive a promotion during this time. Hard aspects indicate a time where you promise too much to your superiors. Obstacles to success may manifest during this time.

If Venus rules, or is situated in your 11th house, your social circle is likely to expand. Invitations to parties and social events occur during this time.

If the Sun rules, or is situated in your 12th house, you may experience an increased need for solitude. This is a great time to get in touch with your inner self. A trip to a spiritual place (ashram, yoga retreat) are favored at this time.

Jupiter represents growth, abundance, optimism, and expansion, while the Moon represents emotions, instincts, home, family, and our inner world. When Jupiter transits your natal Moon, your emotional life becomes amplified. This can be a period of increased happiness, generosity, emotional healing, and stronger connections with others. However, because Jupiter expands whatever it touches, this transit can also magnify emotional reactions, indulgence, and excess.

Jupiter Conjunct Natal Moon

Jupiter conjunct natal Moon is one of the more uplifting emotional transits. During this period, your feelings become expanded, and you may experience greater optimism, emotional confidence, and a deeper understanding of your own needs.

You are likely to feel more generous, compassionate, and open toward others. Relationships with family members may improve, and your home life can become a major source of comfort and happiness.

This is often a favorable transit for creating a more welcoming home environment. You may feel inspired to redecorate, move, purchase furniture, or make improvements to your living space.

Romantic relationships can also benefit from this transit. You may feel more affectionate and emotionally available, and some people experience this period as a time when they meet someone new.

Jupiter conjunct the Moon is traditionally considered a fertile influence and can coincide with pregnancy or increased focus on family matters.

The challenge with this transit is that Jupiter can amplify everything it touches. You may overindulge in food, spending, or comfort-seeking behaviors. It is important to enjoy the positive energy without going overboard.

Jupiter Trine Natal Moon

Jupiter trine natal Moon creates emotional ease, support, and optimism. During this transit, you tend to feel more comfortable expressing yourself and trusting your instincts.

Your relationships with family and loved ones are likely to improve. You may feel more generous, forgiving, and understanding toward others, making it easier to let go of past conflicts.

This is a supportive time for emotional healing. You may find yourself releasing old grudges and gaining a more positive perspective on past experiences.

Your home life can feel more harmonious, and you may receive emotional or practical support from others. This transit can also bring opportunities for romance, social connections, and personal happiness.

Jupiter Sextile Natal Moon

Jupiter sextile natal Moon brings opportunities for emotional growth and stronger connections with others. You may feel more hopeful, open, and willing to explore new experiences.

This is a favorable time for improving relationships, expanding your social circle, and creating a more positive home environment.

You may feel more comfortable asking for support and more willing to offer support to others. Your emotional intelligence increases, helping you better understand yourself and the people around you.

This transit can bring opportunities related to family, home, and personal development.

Jupiter Square Natal Moon

Jupiter square natal Moon expands emotions, but the energy can sometimes feel overwhelming. During this transit, you may experience stronger emotional reactions and a greater need for comfort, reassurance, or attention.

Family matters may become a major focus. While you may desire closeness with loved ones, you could also become overly involved, demanding, or sensitive to their responses.

There can be a tendency to overpromise or overestimate what you can handle. You may feel extremely optimistic in the moment but later realize you have taken on too much.

This transit can also increase the desire for pleasure and indulgence. Be mindful of overspending, overeating, or excessive emotional reactions.

The lesson of Jupiter square Moon is learning how to balance emotional expansion with moderation.

Jupiter Opposite Natal Moon

Jupiter opposite natal Moon creates a tension between emotional needs and the desire for growth, freedom, or expansion.

During this transit, your emotions may feel larger than usual. You may crave emotional closeness while also feeling the need for independence and personal space.

Relationships with family or partners may become a major focus. You may want more affection and reassurance, but others may not always respond with the same level of enthusiasm.

This transit can bring emotional highs and lows, as well as a tendency to exaggerate situations. You may promise more than you can realistically deliver or expect too much from others.

Be mindful of excess, especially with spending, eating, and emotional reactions.

When handled consciously, Jupiter opposite Moon can help you understand your emotional needs and find a healthier balance between security and personal growth.

The house placement of your natal Moon and the houses ruled by your Moon can show where this transit is most likely to manifest.

Astrology of the Vice-Presidential Debate

Check out my new and improved site for more political astrology! http://astrolady.wix.com/astrolady

This presidential election campaign has been fascinating to watch as an astrologer. After looking at the transits of all four candidates (Obama, Romney, Biden, and Ryan), it has become clear to me that this presidential race is a battle between Saturn and Neptune. Both Obama and Biden are experiencing heavy Saturn transits at this time, while Romney and Ryan are experiencing intense Neptune aspects at this time. Keeping this in mind, watching the news has become even more entertaining! Romney and Ryan are constantly being attacked for making dishonest claims and coming up short on details, while Obama has been slandered for his terrible performance in Wednesday’s debate, in which he appeared to be somber, uninterested, and dull. Both Romney and Ryan are experiencing Neptune square Ascendant transits, while Obama is experiencing a Saturn square Mercury transit. We have yet to see Biden in debate action, but Saturn will be transiting opposite his natal Moon at the time of the debate.

Here are some more details on Biden’s and Ryan’s transit for the day of the debate.

Joe Biden’s Transits for Oct. 11/2012

Mars will be conjunct Biden’s Sagittarius Ascendant. It is probably not very surprising to people that Joe has a Sag Ascendant. He is known for putting his foot in his mouth, which is a classic Sagittarian trait. With Mars conjunct this point, he will have to be extra careful about what he says and how he says it! Not to mention, Mars will be opposite his natal Uranus, which puts him at increased risk for making a blunder. This transit will also increase Biden’s aggressiveness and assertiveness, in regards to the way he presents himself.

Transiting Saturn will be exactly opposite Biden’s Moon in Taurus. This transit indicates a time in which your personal needs and your public responsibilities are at odds with one another. This is a time when you feel isolated from your loved ones, and increases your sense of loneliness. During this transit, the person generally feels burdened by external incidents. Hopefully, he will be able to use this energy to focus on his task and work hard to ensure he does a good job.

Transiting Venus will be square Biden’s Saturn, increasing his sense of loneliness, while at the same time, increasing his awareness of his responsibilities. Saturn transits can be helpful, as they help us focus and work hard. However, Saturn also makes us feel drained, unloved, underappreciated, and tends to do a number on our self-confidence. Hopefully Biden will embrace the positive aspects of this transit and will be able to pull through for his party.

Transits for Paul Ryan on Oct 11/2012

Incidentally, Paul Ryan also has his Ascendant in Sagittarius, at practically the same degree as Joe Biden! As such, Mars will also be transiting Ryan’s Ascendant! Again, his aggressiveness and assertiveness increase under this transit.

Like his running mate Mitt Romney, Ryan is experiencing several Neptune transits at the moment. In fact, transiting Neptune will be square his natal Neptune the day of the debate. This transit will be “set off” the day of the election with Transiting Mars conjunct his natal Neptune.

Neptune will also be square his natal Ascendant. Ironically enough, Romney has the same transit going on at this time! Romney’s Ascendant in Gemini is exactly opposite Ryan’s Ascendant in Sagittarius. This is a powerful link between the two. Interestingly enough, Romney’s Neptune square Ascendant was “set off” by transiting Sun conjunct his natal Neptune on the day of the last debate, and now Ryan’s Neptune square Ascendant transit is being set off by transiting Mars conjunct his Neptune/Ascendant conjunction on the day of his debate!

Anyway, transiting Neptune in square aspect to Ryan’s Ascendant/Neptune conjunction the day of the election will alter the way Ryan presents himself and his ideas. He may appear insincere and vague. This transit increases the likelihood of being deceptive or being deceived. A lack of clarity in the way one expresses themselves, as well as a tendency to bend the truth, tends to result from this transit.

It will be very interesting to see how this transit affects Ryan, especially since we saw how the Neptune square Ascendant transit affected Romney during the last debate. Given this transit, Biden should capitalize on any vague ideas or dishonesty Ryan may put forth during the debate, like Obama should have!

Transiting Mercury will be opposite Ryan’s Saturn the day of the debate. Traditionally, this transit is associated with communication challenges, including forgetting details, negative thinking, and getting criticism from others. Under this transit, we are likely to second-guess ourselves. On the plus side, this is a good day for serious, no-nonsense discussions. Also, Ryan’s Mercury is in Capricorn, so perhaps he will feel comfortable with the Saturn energy.

Transiting Sun will be square his natal Mercury. This transit affects our communication skills by making us eager to get our points across. Ryan will be mentally active, but may lack tact. Conflicts often ensue during this transit.

Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis- What happened?

Earlier this year, we found out that Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis were splitsville. The reason? Apparently, Johnny was bored stiff and wanted his freedom. Other sources say he was having an affair. What do the stars say about their split?

Check out my new books, Cosmic Fortune: The Astrology of Lottery Winners , Predict Love with Astrology, and  Fall In Love with Astrology!

Johnny and Vanessa’s Relationship:

Johnny and Vanessa had very interesting synastry. He’s a Gemini, and she’s a Capricorn. The fact that he was “bored” does not surprise me right off the bat. Geminis need to move around, communicate, and get bored at the drop of a hat. Geminis aren’t usually fond of long-term commitments for this reason. Capricorns, on the other hand, are very steady, stable people. Repetition and boredom do not bother them as much as other signs. Earth signs seek security in their relationships, while Geminis need intellectual stimulation and freedom.

Thankfully, Vanessa has tons of planets in Sagittarius, which would definitely smooth out Capricorn’s hard edges! Geminis and Sagittarians get along famously; their signs are opposite, but complementary.

So, how did this Capricorn get a freedom-loving Gemini to commit? Her Saturn is conjunct his Sun. Vanessa stabilized Johnny and stimulated his desire to settle down. She kept him grounded.

At the same time, Johnny may have felt restricted by Vanessa. Perhaps he felt that she was overbearing or critical of him, which may have left him feeling discouraged and stifled. This would be especially difficult for a Gemini to handle. Regardless, Sun-Saturn connections in synastry are very common in the synastry charts of marriage partners.

Johnny’s Neptune is conjunct Vanessa’s Ascendant. To Johnny, Vanessa is his “dream girl”. He easily trusts and forgives Vanessa, and she does the same. This aspects lends itself to over-idealization of each other and glossing over each other’s faults.

Vanessa’s Sun is conjunct Johnny’s Vertex. In addition, her anti-vertex is conjunct his Vertex, and vice-versa! This indicates the union was fated. The Vertex is a calculated point, and is often referred to as the “second Descendant”. When someone’s Vertex is aspected in synastry, it indicates the two people were meant to come together for a purpose. Johnny’s Vertex is in his 5th house, so perhaps the couple was fated to have children together. Vanessa’s Vertex is in the 8th house, so she was meant to explore herself psychologically and sexually through their union.

Johnny’s Sun, Mercury and Venus are situated in Vanessa’s 7th house. This is an indicator of a strong mutual attraction between the two. Johnny is Vanessa’s idea of the perfect man, and Johnny finds Vanessa beautiful. Johnny stimulates Vanessa’s desire to settle down.

Vanessa’s Mars, Venus, Neptune, and Mercury are situated in Johnny’s 4th house. She stimulated Johnny’s desire to build a home and family together. In fact, this aspect indicates the couple spent a lot of time at home. They moved to a relatively remote area of France together, where they lived for many years. Vanessa’s Moon is located in Johnny’s 12th house, which may have been why they moved so far away to be with one another; perhaps Johnny wanted to keep her and the family “hidden”.

Johnny and Vanessa share a mutual Moon conjunct North Node aspect in synastry! Wow! They are naturally protective of one another. They each possess qualities the other needs to develop in order to grow. The bond was instant, and they both felt they were “going somewhere” with one another. North Node aspects can be tricky, though.

Over time, the constant nurturing and giving in the relationship can become draining. I’ve read that when a synastry chart features North Node connections, but no South Node connections, the relationship is not meant to last. Instead, the relationship seeds are planted in this life, and the two will reunite in their next life to continue the relationship.

One of the most troubling aspects between Johnny and Vanessa involves the Planet Uranus. Johnny’s Uranus is conjunct his Mars in the first, indicating he is freedom-loving and independent, and may be prone to sudden, impulsive anger and aggressive behaviors.  This conjunction squares Vanessa’s Venus/Neptune conjunction. Vanessa probably found Johnny very exciting, eccentric, and attractive, but at the same time, unstable, unpredictable, and inconstant. This aspect does not favor stability in a relationship. Johnny may have felt his individuality and independence were stifled by Vanessa, so the relationship may have made him feel trapped. This aspect is a classic divorce indicator in a couple’s synastry chart, and can certainly indicate infidelity.

So, there’s their synastry. Very powerful synastry, indeed. But why did Johnny end things this year, after over a decade of marriage?

Johnny and Vanessa’s Transits

Rumor has it, the couple has been having problems for years. Indeed, transiting Neptune was squaring Johnny’s Venus until last year. This transit often indicates disillusionment when it comes to how one perceives his or her relationship, as well as deceit. Also, Uranus has been opposing Johnny’s progressed Mars, which is a transit that stimulates a person’s desire for freedom, and may manifest through acting out or rebelling.

Neptune was transiting Johnny’s 7th house for the majority of the time they were married, which makes sense given the strong Neptunian aspects in their synastry chart. Around the time of the divorce, transiting Neptune was opposite Johnny’s natal Uranus in the first. During this time, the desire to make a change and to do something “out of character” is stimulated. This transit often indicates misunderstandings, feelings of uncertainty, and even deceit. Since this transit affected his 1st/7th house axis, the change came in the form of breaking up his relationship with Vanessa.

Around the time of their divorce, transiting Jupiter  in his 10th house was squaring his natal Uranus, which stimulated his desire for freedom even further. Jupiter “expanded” his need for freedom (Uranus), which played out in a very public way (10th house)

Moreover, transiting Saturn was squaring Johnny’s Venus all year. This is a classic break-up transit. During this transit, we take a long, hard look at our relationships and decide what’s working for us, and what is not. Johnny and Vanessa’s synastry featured plenty of Neptune, and Johnny has been experiencing Neptune in his love sector for quite some time. When Saturn came along, Johnny was shaken out of any disillusionment he was holding on to, and was forced to re-evaluate his relationship with Vanessa, and he ultimately decided to end things.
