Natal Sun in the Signs and Houses

In Astrology, the Sun represents your core being. It represents the Self, your Personality, and the Ego. Just as the planets orbit the Sun in our Solar System, our natal planets shine their light on our natal Sun, shaping our values, beliefs, ideals, and behaviors.

Sun in the Signs

Aries is the sign of the Child. Indeed, Aries men and women have a child-like quality, which can be quite endearing, or irritating, depending on who you ask!

Aries is symbolized by the “Ram”, as they go “head-first” into everything they do. They are active and energetic, as well as straight forward and very impatient. They tend to “act before they think”, both with their bodies and their tongues. Aries individuals tend to live in the “now”, meaning they move on quickly and tend not to plan ahead. These individuals are known for their courage, independence, and “me”-centered philosophies on life.
As a Cardinal sign, Aries enjoys initiating activities, and loves to be the first to start activities. They are usually bold, and do not shy away from confrontation. In fact, a good conflict energizes Arians. They have quick tempers, but move on from their anger very quickly. This is not a sign that holds a grudge.

Famous people with their Sun in Aries: Mariah Carey, Russell Crowe, James Franco, Lady Gaga, Quentin Tarantino, Reese Witherspoon, Sarah Jessica Parker, Heath Ledger, and Marlon Brando.

Taurus is symbolized by the “Bull”. Indeed, Solar Taureans are strong-willed, yet stubborn folk.

Taurus individuals are solid, dependable, and hard-working. They are sensual and pleasure-seeking, as in, they enjoy activities which tickle all the physical senses. They enjoy good food, good drink, comfortable surroundings, and picturesque views. Their pleasure-seeking behavior give Taureans the reputation of being the “hedonists” of the Zodiac.

Being an Earth sign, security is very important to them. Taurus rules the second house, the house of material possessions. Indeed, financial security is important to Taureans. Taurus men and women have fixed ideas, and it is next to impossible to change their minds once their minds are made up. They also tend to hold on to grudges, and have a difficult time “letting go” of past hurts. Taureans are possessive folk; knowing something or someone is theirs gives them a great sense of  security.

Famous people with their Sun in Taurus: George Clooney, Uma Thurman, Al Pacino, Leonardo Da Vinci, Jessica Alba, Robert Pattinson, Michelle Pfeiffer, Penelope Cruz.

Gemini is represented by the “twins”, which refers to their dual nature. Indeed, it is common to find two sides to a Gemini, each having a personality unlike the other.

Geminis enjoy communication and collecting information. They thrive on intellectual stimulation, and enjoy a good debate. They tend to bore easily due to their constant need to experiment, explore, and communicate.

As an mutable sign, they thrive on change and adapt to new people, places, and situations with ease. In keeping with their changeable natures, they tend to change their minds and feelings frequently.
Gemini is ruled by Mercury, a non-emotional, intellectual sign. As a result, they make friends easily, but are difficult to get close to. They have a scattered energy about them; they tend to spread their energies wide to ensure a maximum amount of experiences. You’ll often find Geminis performing several tasks at once. Indeed, Geminis often “know a lot about everything, but a little about one thing”; they tend not to delve deeply into issues, but rather prefer skimming the surface.

Famous people with their Sun in Taurus: Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp, Nicole Kidman, Marilyn Monroe, Natalie Portman, John F. Kennedy, Paul McCartney, Rafael Nadal, Clint Eastwood.

Cancers are represented by the “crab”,which refers to their self-respective and sensitive nature. Like the crab, Cancerian individuals often feel the need to withdraw into their shell when hurt. Alternatively, they may manipulate others to get what they want.

Cancers are slow to change, and have a deep connection to their families (especially their mothers), their roots, and tradition. In addition to being protective of themselves, they are also protective over their loved ones.

Cancerian individuals tend to be indirect, and dislike confrontation.

Cancers are the “mothers” of the zodiac. They are incredibly hospitable and nurturing, as well as caring and dependable.

Famous people with their Sun in Cancer: Pamela Anderson, Princess Diana of Wales, Tom Cruise, Prince William, Gisele Bundchen, George W. Bush, Tom Hanks, Lindsay Lohan, Meryl Streep, Sylvester Stallone, Harrison Ford, Selena Gomes, Jessica Simpson.

Leo is symbolized by the Lion, a majestic creature heralded for its courage, pride, and authority over the rest of the animal kingdom. Indeed, Leos are known for their excellent leadership abilities, which is strengthened by their noble manners and charismatic personalities. In fact, many prominent leaders have their Sun in Leo.

Leos are known for their narcissistic tendencies and their great sense of self-importance. However, Leos have a great desire to improve the world they live in, fueled by their love for others.
As the natural ruler of the 5th house of fun, romance, risk-taking, and creative expression, Leos are attracted to the good things in life and have no problem being in the spotlight. Despite this, Leos are incredibly hard-working individuals, just like their animal counterpart.

Leos need plenty of attention and appreciation to stay happy. Like the lion, Leos are loyal, traditional people, and often blame themselves when something goes wrong.

Famous people with their Sun in Leo: Barack Obama, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Sandra Bullock, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Robert Redford, Whitney Houston, Ed Norton, Halle Berry, Mick Jagger, Daniel Radcliffe.

Virgo is symbolized by the “virgin”. No, that does not mean Virgoan men and women are celibate. Rather, they tend to emit a pure and natural energy to the rest of the world.

Virgos are known for their incredible work ethic, detail orientation, and skepticism. As an Earth sign, they tend to trust what they can sense, and require tangible proof of a thought, idea, or belief before changing their minds.

Virgoan individuals are concerned with organization. Even if a Virgo is not stereotypically neat and tidy, they are usually organized. Virgos are sensitive to their environments, and tend to embarrass easily.
Virgos have a strong need to be productive. They are not the ones to laze about and do nothing all day. They have a fear of under-performing, and take great care they are doing their work with the utmost efficacy and accuracy.

Virgos are generally very body-aware, sometimes to the point of developing hypochondriac tendencies. They prefer eating clean, healthy foods and living natural lifestyles. Virgos are also known for being perfectionists, as they strive for mastery over any subject they take interest in.

Famous people with their Sun in Virgo: Michael Jackson, Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz, Beyonce Knowles, Richard Gere, Prince Harry of Wales, Salma Hayek, Sofia Loren, Hugh Grant, Claudia Schiffer, Jason Statham, River Phoenix, Charlie Sheen, Colin Firth, Warren Buffett.

Libra is represented by the scales, which represents Libra’s need for balance, harmony, and fairness in the world he or she lives in. Indeed this need for balance adds to their indecisiveness; other than taking a stand on an issue, Libras often prefer taking the “middle road”, thereby not taking a side at all.

Libras are social, intellectual beings. They dislike confrontation, and may even choose to lie in order to avoid rocking the boat. They are fond of socializing, and often have a wide group of friends.

Ruled by Venus, Libras often get the reputation for being superficial. It is not uncommon for Librans to choose friends based on their superficial qualities (i.e. looks).

As the natural ruler of the 7th house, Libras are naturally partnership-oriented. Their primary concern is how they relate to others and the rest of the world. In fact, Libras often dislike being alone. Having a partner makes them feel complete.

Famous people with their Sun in Libra: Zac Efron, Matt Damon, Eminem, John Lennon, Susan Sarandon, Kim Kardashian, Kate Winslet, Katherine Zeta-Jones, Christopher Reeve.
The Scorpion, the symbol of Scorpio, is a vengeful, cunning creature. Indeed, you would be wise not to bring out their dark sides. Like the Scorpion, Scorpio natives have amazing regenerative powers.
Scorpios are very determined, resourceful people who put their 100% into everything they do, whether it’s work, finances, or love. Being a fixed sign, it can be difficult to get them to to anything they don’t want to do. This is a sign that is not intimidated easily, and do not shy away from confrontation.
Ruled by Pluto, the god of the underworld, Scorpios desire power and control. They are great at getting it, too, due to their tremendous willpower and patience. Scorpios are incredibly curious people, with a strong investigative spirit. Superficiality simply won’t do for these folk; they love to probe and get to the heart of the matter, rather than simply skimming the surface.
Scorpios have an unmistakably intense and complex nature. They are secretive and suspicious, and can “see right through you”. Don’t try to fool them, because it simply will not work. They are unafraid of loss and can become vengeful if you cross them.

Famous people with their Sun in Scorpio: Leonardo Dicaprio, Jodie Foster, Julia Roberts, Bill Gates, Demi Moore, Hillary Clinton, Aishwarya Rai, Katy Perry, Gerard Butler, Shahrukh Khan, Ryan Gosling, Winona Ryder.

Sagittarius is symbolized by the Centaur, the half-man, half-beast creature of mythology. This represents the animalistic and spiritual side of human beings. While Centaurs are described as adventurous, wise, and courageous, they are also described as uncivilized and combative.
Sagittarians are restless, enthusiastic, open, and friendly. They love their freedom, which makes settling down into a routine very difficult. Due to their open and affectionate natures, they easily make friends from all walks of life. Sagittarians are known for being gullible, due to their trusting natures. They are blindly optimistic at times, which gives them the reputation of being unrealistic.
Being a fire sign, Sagittarians have quick tempers, but the fire dies down very quickly. Most of the time, they are playful, flirtatious and open. Being a mutable sign, Sagittarians are also known for their “flakiness”, i.e. their inability to follow through with plans. You know that friend you made plans with, but canceled at the last minute? She might be a Sagittarius. Sagittarians “go with the flow”, and are fickle by nature. As a result, they tend to change their minds quickly.
You know that friend who always gets herself in trouble from speaking her mind too much? She might be a Sagittarius. People with this Sun sign are incredibly opinionated, and love giving their two cents on practically anything, even if the conversation has nothing to do with them. Sagittarians are famous for their blunt manner. They tend not to sugar coat what they say, which can be offensive to others. Sagittarians do not mean any harm, however; they truly believe honesty is the best policy, even if their manner is forceful and direct.
Ruled by Jupiter, Sagittarians have a love of travel, philosophy, and religion. They tend to look at the “big picture”, and gloss over minor details. It is common for Sagittarians to take on tasks of Herculean proportions, only to leave them unfinished once they have found something more interesting. In keeping with the Jupiterian quality of abundance, Sags often exaggerate when declaring their outspoken beliefs and ideas. In addition, Sags are also known for their unmistakable generosity.

Capricorn is symbolized by the goat, the introverted, lone creature, who slowly, but surely move through life.
Ruled by Saturn, the planet of realism, Capricorns have a grounded approach to life. They tend to engage in only things they see as “worthwhile”; Capricorns detest wasting their time on ineffective activities. More specifically, they have a disdain for the superficial or frivolous. This applies to their careers, friendships, and relationships. They base their choices on long-term considerations and tradition, as well as the way the choices will make them “look” to others.
As the natural ruler of the 10th house of career and notoriety, their public image and social status are important to them. They have no qualms about working hard, as long as there is a pay-off in the end. Success and money are the main driving factors of Capricorn’s work ethic. Indeed, Capricorns are often referred to as the “businesspeople of the Zodiac.”
Despite their practicality and serious natures, Capricorns are known for their sense of humor, which is dry and sarcastic. Their delivery is great; they have the ability to keep a straight face, even while telling a joke.

Famous people with Sun in Capricorn: Michelle Obama, Martin Luther King, Elvis Presley, Orlando Bloom, Jude Law, Mel Gibson, Kate Moss, Jared Leto, Cary Grant, Nicholas Cage.

Aquarius is symbolized by the water bearer. Disappointed your sign doesn’t have some cool animal to represent it? Don’t be. Water washes away the past and makes room for a clean start. Water gives life to the world, just like Aquas’ visionary and growth-oriented approach to life helps the world move forward. Indeed, Aquas are known for their humanitarianism and desire to make the world a better place.
Ruled by Uranus, the planet of rebellion, Aquas move to the beat of their own drum. They’re not afraid to stand out from the crowd. In fact, they thrive on their uniqueness and willingness to not follow the beaten path.
Aquas are intellectual (even genius), clever, and friendly, though aloof and detached. Even though they are open-minded, they are fixed in their opinions, and love thinking they are right. They shun tradition and embrace anything that is new, exciting, and inventive. Because of their emotional detachment and intellectualism, they are skilled at the art of debate.
As the natural ruler of the 11th house of friendships, Aquas generally have a wide group of friends from all walks of life. They  see everyone as equals, and tend not to give anyone special treatment. Indeed, it’s common to see an Aqua helping a complete stranger as readily as helping a long-time friend. Aquas have a tremendous need for freedom, which makes it difficult for them to settle down into a stable routine.

Famous people with Sun in Aquarius: Nicolas Sarkozy, Jennifer Aniston, Shakira, Justin Timberlake, Robbie Williams, Oprah Winfrey, Paris Hilton, Cristiano Ronaldo, Bob Marley, James Dean, Ashton Kutcher, Paul Newman, Taylor Lautner.

Pisces is symbolized by the fish. Fish swim in opposite directions, which relates to Pisces’ feeling of always being pulled in two directions, making decision-making very difficult.
Being a mutable sign, Pisceans are adaptable to different types of people and places. They tend to find something they like about everyone they meet.
Ruled by Neptune, the planet of dreams, Pisceans give off a spacey, other-worldly vibe. They are incredibly sensitive and compassionate people who shy away from confrontation. Their compassion is often so strong, that they might tell a lie in order to spare the other person’s feelings. Pisceans cannot stand to hurt you; they are easily affected by human suffering. For this reason, Pisceans also have a difficult time saying “no”, and readily take on the role of the martyr..
The world is a harsh, cold place, which can be difficult to handle for compassionate, sensitive Pisces. Pisceans escape the world through their dreams and through self-delusion and escapist tendencies. In fact, it can be difficult for a Piscean to distinguish fact from reality. When hurt, Pisces will withdraw into their private, inner world, and wallow in their self-pity. But fear not: these episodes are regenerative to Pisces’ well-being.
As the natural ruler of the 12th house, Pisceans are secretive and spiritual. It is not uncommon for Pisceans to be described as chameleon-like and changeable, in keeping with their mutable nature.

Famous people with Sun in Pisces: Kurt Cobain, Albert Einstein, Jesus Christ, Elizabeth Taylor, Osama bin Laden, Steve Jobs, Rihanna, Eva Longoria, Daniel Craig, Adam Levine, Mitt Romney, and Eva Mendes.

Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson: Will It Last?

As one of Hollywood’s most famous couples, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are often in the media spotlight. One moment they seem to be blissfully in love, and then in another moment, they seem like they’re about to break up. We recently found out that Kristen cheated on Robert. Why did he take her back? What do the stars have to say about these two?

One thing that stuck out to me in their synastry chart is their exact Ascendant-Ascendant conjunction in Cancer. While their MC/IC axis is not exactly conjunct, they are close to one another. In addition, their Vertexes are exactly conjunct.

When your partner’s Ascendant is exactly conjunct your Ascendant, a high degree of compatibility is indicated. The two of you approach the world and your relationships in a similar way. Kristen and Robert “stand out” to one another because of this aspect. They present themselves in a similar fashion, making it easier to “find” one another. They probably clicked immediately; they see a lot of themselves in each other.

In addition, since Kristen’s MC/IC axis is in the same sign as Robert’s MC/IC axis, they have a similar approach to home life and career, as well. They certainly feel “at home” with one another, and have similar career goals. Finally, Vertex conjunct Vertex in synastry indicates a fated bond.

Robert’s Moon in Cancer is conjunct Kristen’s Ascendant. This is a prime indicator of a sginficant attraction, which could possibly lead to marriage. In a man’s chart, his Venus and Moon signs signify the type of woman he is most attracted to. In Kristen, he sees his “ideal woman.” He feels comfortable expressing his feelings to her because he feels she understands him very well. Kristen feels nurtured and supported by Robert. In fact, the two of them may feel emotionally dependent on one another. The fact that the two of them have strong Cancer in each of their charts makes this synastry aspect even more significant; they are both emotional people, and their strong Moon aspects in synastry ensures the emotional compatibility they both need.

However, Robert’s Moon squares Kristen’s Sun in Aries. Robert is highly emotional, sensitive, and somewhat passive when it comes to emotions. This clashes with Kristen’s core nature; Kristen is direct, aggressive, and confrontational. Robert may sometimes feel that Kristen is insensitive to his needs, while Kristen may find Robert overly-touchy and sensitive.

Robert’s Moon also squares Kristen’s Moon in Libra. While the both of them are sensitive to each other’s needs, and seek harmony in their personal lives, the two of them may feel their needs are not quite met by the other. Cancer needs security, reassurance, and a close emotional bond, while Libra seeks romance, intellectual exchanges, and balance. Kristen may feel somewhat smothered by Robert at times, and Robert may feel Kristen is somewhat superficial.

Robert and Kristen’s synastry chart features a Mars square Sun double-whammy! The two of them are highly attracted to one another. However, since the Sun and Mars are both masculine planets, they may engage in many ego-clashes throughout their relationship. Robert’s Mars is conjunct Kristen’s Descendant, which indicates a significant sexual attraction, but also tends to increase conflict between the couple. This is magnified by the fact that Robert’s Mars is also square Kristen’s Moon. This indicates the two of them share a highly sexual, emotional bond, which may be fraught with heavy arguments.

However, Robert’s Moon, Mars, and Ascendant are conjunct Kristen’s Sun/Moon midpoint. Having planets conjunct, square, or opposite your partner’s Sun/Moon midpoint is indicative of a significant attraction. You’ll often find synastry aspects involving the Sun/Moon midpoint in the synastry charts of significant relationships. In this case, the planet person brings the Midpoint person’s feminine and masculine energies together, making them feel complete. The person whose Sun/Moon midpoint is activated is likely to feel more balanced around the planet person. You feel like you belong together, and the attraction is irresistible. The Midpoint person is generally the one who feels more attracted, based on this aspect.

With Robert’s Moon conjunct Kristen’s Sun/Moon midpoint, she feels loved and understood by Robert. She feels very comfortable with Robert, and feels her emotional needs are fulfilled. With Robert’s Mars conjunct Kristen’s Sun/Moon midpoint, she is strongly drawn to Robert’s sexual charisma. The sex is highly fulfilling for the both of them. Robert’s Ascendant conjunct Kristen’s Sun/Moon midpoint indicates that she is highly attracted to him, and sees him as her soul mate.

Robert’s Venus is sextile Kristen’s Sun. Robert absolutely adores Kristen, and is very focused on pleasing her. Around Robert, Kristen feels loved and appreciated. Sun-Venus aspects are very common in the synastry charts of married couples, as they ensure a feeling of joy and compatibility for the long run.

Their synastry chart also features a Moon trine Venus double whammy. This is an excellent sign of romantic compatibility. The two of them feel loved and adored, as well as nurtured, by one another. Just being together brings the both of them a lot of joy. This aspect makes doing even the most boring tasks together greatly enjoyable. This aspects points to mutual consideration for one another.

Kristen’s Mars is trine Robert’s Venus. This aspect indicates a high degree of sexual compatibility and passionate love. In this case, Kristen takes on the role of the aggressor or pursuer, and this is likely very attractive to Robert. The two of them are highly attracted to one another. Kristen is entranced by Robert’s grace and charm, while Robert admires Kristen’s assertiveness, sexual charisma, and body.

Kristen’s Mercury is conjunct Robert’s Mercury in Taurus. This aspect indicates a high degree of intellectual compatibility. Robert and Kristen process information and communicate in a similar manner, making it easy for them to understand what the other is saying. They have a better-than-average understanding of what the other thinks. They may finish each other’s sentences from time to time.

Robert’s Mars is conjunct Kristen’s Saturn in the 7th house. With this aspect, it seems that no matter what the Mars person does, the Saturn person is bothered. Nothing is ever “good enough” for Saturn. The Saturn person usually sees the Mars person as childish and irresponsible.  The Mars person’s energy is the sort that makes the Saturn person very uncomfortable. More specifically, the Mars person’s self-confidence and assertiveness brings out Saturn’s insecurities, and in response, the Saturn person attempts to restrict and limit the Mars person’s actions by telling Mars what to do. Saturn may resort to constantly tearing the Mars person down through criticism and psychological abuse. However, Saturn synastry aspects are highly binding. Even if Robert feels held back or criticized by Kristen, he has an overwhelming feeling of responsibility and commitment to her.

His feelings of commitment to Kristen are magnified due to the fact that Kristen’s Saturn is in Robert’s 7th house. This indicates that Robert takes his relationship with Kristen very seriously. She stimulates his desire for a serious partnership, and takes his duties to her very seriously.

Kristen’s Neptune is exactly conjunct Robert’s Descendant, indicating a deep soul union between the two of them. Robert likely sees Kristen as the woman of his dream. He is very sensitive to her needs. Robert may gloss over Kristen’s faults in favor of her more favorable, or even “imagined,” traits.

Kristen’s Uranus is conjunct Robert’s Descendant, as well. He finds her highly exciting and refreshing, though perhaps a bit erratic and undependable. This aspect indicates a strong, electric attraction, especially on Robert’s part.

Robert’s feelings of excitement for Kristen are magnified by the fact that her Uranus is exactly opposite his chart ruler, the Moon, and conjunct his Mars. Robert may find Kristen somewhat erratic and unstable when it comes to the way she feels about Robert. This is likely to put Robert on edge at times, especially since his Moon is in security-seeking Cancer. Nevertheless, he finds her highly magnetic and attractive. Roberts finds Kristen sexually exciting and stimulating, but may find her reckless and impulsive.

Kristen’s Neptune is opposite Robert’s Moon. This aspect indicates there is a tendency to misunderstand or confuse each other emotionally. The Moon person may tend to be emotionally dependent on the Neptune person, for the Moon person feels the Neptune person is his or her ideal mate.

The threat of emotional deceit is high when this aspect shows up in synastry. The Moon person may not see the Neptune person clearly; the Moon person may see the Neptune person for the emotionally wonderful, supportive person he thinks the Neptune person is. In order to keep the Moon person’s ideals alive or to gain emotional support or compassion, the Neptune person may “play along” by lying, playing the victim, or pretending to be someone he is not. Even if the Moon person suspects the Neptune person of deceit, they will make excuses for the Neptune person and pretend as though nothing is wrong.

Hard aspects also indicate a great amount of possessiveness and clinginess on the part of the Moon person. Both the Moon and Neptune are highly sensitive planets, which makes this relationship excessively emotional and co-dependent. This is especially damaging if Neptune becomes elusive and distant, as it will greatly upset the Moon person. While this aspect indicates a great amount of compassion and unconditional caring, it can also lead to hurt and disappointment due to lofty ideals of what each person thinks the other person is.

Kristen’s Pluto opposes Robert’s Sun. The two of them have a profound, transformative effect on each other. Robert experiences emotions he never even knew you had as a result of this relationship. This is an indicator of a love-hate relationship. This relationship is characterized by power struggles, as the two of them wish to dominate the other. They are compelled to find out every detail about each other’s lives, and this desire often leads to unhealthy obsession and possessiveness. If they two break up, it will be very difficult to remain friends.

Robert’s Pluto trines Kristen’s Venus. Wow, what a great aspect! Pluto forces Venus to see something about herself that she wanted to keep hidden. His role is to transform Venus by exploring the depths of intimacy and sharing. The relationship is highly sexual, and the chemistry is addictive. This level of passion is the highest you will have in your life as the two explore and play out each others’ deepest, darkest secrets and fantasies. This aspect can result in sexual exploitation, as well, given Pluto’s dominance over Venus, and Venus’ desire to please Pluto in any way she can.

Finally, Robert’s Saturn squares Kristen’s Venus. All Saturn-Venus synastry are highly binding, but hard aspects often bring difficulties. Kristen may find Robert is cold and unaffectionate at times. Robert is likely to feel insecure because of Kristen, and may deal with this by withdrawing his affection for her. This transit can also indicate that the two of them suffer many separations throughout their relationship.

Who has the upper hand?

After analyzing their synastry, it is clear to me that Kristen has the upper hand in the relationship. Her outer planets make significant aspects to Robert’s Sun and Moon, which indicate that she has a profound effect on him. Robert’s Moon and Venus (feminine planets) are highly aspected by Kristen’s inner and outer planets, so he may be more emotionally dependent on the relationship than she is.

Kristen’s Uranus is highly aspected in her synastry with Robert. She may have difficulty settling down with Robert in a relationship due to the fact that her feelings for him are unpredictable and erratic. She is conflicted between her need for freedom, and her need for a relationship.

With Kristen’s Neptune heavily aspecting Robert’s inner planets and points, he is very taken with Kristen. He overlooks her faults, and is very forgiving of her inconsistencies.

Kristen’s Pluto in hard aspects to Robert’s planets indicate that he is very drawn to her, and may even feel obsessed with her. His attachment to her is so strong that he feels like a “fish out of water” when the two of them are not together.

Their future:

Kristen has recently stated that she would like to settle down and have children with Robert, which is unsurprising given the fact that transiting Saturn is trining her natal Venus at this time. This transit indicates a time when you are more willing to commit. In addition, Saturn just entered her 5th house, indicating a time when we are more serious about love and commitment.

Transiting Neptune is about to conjunct her natal Venus, which will inject her with a vast amount of idealism and sensitivity in regards to her love life. It will be interesting to see whether it will be Robert to whom these energies are directed.

The fact that she was caught cheating back in July, which was when her Neptune conjunct Venus transit was within orb, indicates to me that she may commit another indiscretion. At that time, transiting Uranus was square her natal Uranus (ruler of her 8th house of sex and intimacy), and transiting Jupiter was square her natal Venus (which indicates a time of overindulgence in pleasure.)

Back in July when Robert found out Kristen cheated, transiting Saturn was square his progressed Venus, as well as his natal Mars in the 7th house. Classic break-up transit.

For the next little while, Uranus will be doing a number on both Robert’s and Kristen’s natal charts. This signifies that there will be many sudden changes to their relationship.

Robert’s stars in April 2013 are especially positive (Jupiter conjunct his progressed Sun, natal Venus, and his progressed Venus will be sextile his natal Sun). Around this time, Kristen’s progressed Venus will be close to her natal Midheaven. In addition, Jupiter will make favorable aspects to her Sun and Mars at that time. Around this time, Kristen’s Neptune conjunct Venus transit will be in full swing.

If the couple stays together, this could be an indication of positive developments in their relationship, which may include getting engaged or married.

Aries, Mars & the “Hunter”

Having problems with your Aries man? Want to know if he’s in love with you? Let me help you! E-mail me at astroladyconsultations@gmail.com!

Ever dated a “hunter”? No, not the mean guy who kills Bambi, but the courageous, active, direct guy with a love of passion and adventure? The impulsive guy who loves a good chase? There are several aspects which indicate a guy is a “hunter”. Let’s take a look at a few…

This article relates specifically to men with Sun, Moon, Venus or Ascendant in Aries.

Aries is the natural ruler of the 1st house of the “Self”, and Aries is ruled by Mars.

Aries men are impulsive, childish, self-absorbed and direct. He is competitive; he won’t let you win “just ‘cause you’re a girl.” He tends to put his own needs ahead of everyone else’s. He’s confident and self-assured; he knows he’s sexy, and won’t hesitate to let you know this! In love, his favorite part is the chase. He likes to keep things exciting and passionate, and is addicted to the conquest. This can make “settling down” difficult for Aries guys; when a relationship becomes too “settled”, he might get bored and start chasing someone else. As the sign of the Child, Arians can be quite immature and self-absorbed. They are also impatient; when they want something, they want it NOW! They are not afraid or confrontation. In fact, a good conflict really gets their juices flowing! He has no problem telling you if he hates your dress, or if your hair looks messy; he is frank, direct, and even tactless.

Above all, Aries men like a challenge, and this is what you’ll have to present him if you want him to be yours. Aries men like a woman who will make him work for her attention. Girls he can seduce easily bore him, so play hard to get! Never let him think he fully “has” you, and he’ll be yours forever.

Aries men like a woman who is full of confidence, intelligence, and adventure. Sexy clothes turn him on; he’ll love to show you off if you’re dressed to impress. Be playful and fun- Aries men love that. Stay honest and direct with him; sugarcoating and indirectness will just annoy him. Praise and compliment him, as Aries men need to feel adored. This guy loves competition, so challenge him to a basketball shoot-out, a chess game, and intellectual debate- anything that involves competitiveness.

In no circumstance should you ever insult is self-confidence or masculinity- this is sure to send the Aries man into a fit of rage!

You are likely attracted to psychology, astrology, or mystical subjects. You hide from the spotlight, and prefer to work behind the scenes. You hide your true self out of fear of losing your privacy.

The Ass-trology of Big Butts

What natal astrological placements and aspects are indicative of a large butt?

Strong Venusian influences

Planets in Libra

Libra is commonly associated with the buttocks. As a result, you may find that people with their Ascendant, Sun, Moon, or Venus (Libra’s ruler) in Libra have large, rounded butts. For example, Beyonce Knowles has Venus in Libra conjunct Jupiter (expansion) and Pluto. Kim Kardashian has her Sun in Libra. Serena Williams has Sun, Saturn, Jupiter, and Pluto in Libra.

Venus in the 1st House:

This aspect brings a Libran influence into the first house, which represents the physical body. As such, you’ll often find people with Venus in the first house have larger derrieres. This also applies to men! Nicki Minaj, Pippa Middleton, and Anna Nicole Smith have Venus in the first house.

Taurus Ascendant or Planets

Taurus is a feminine sign, ruled by Venus. As such, individuals with inner planets and points in Taurus are naturally voluptuous. Serena Williams and HalleBerry both have their Ascendant in Taurus.  Jessica Alba has a stellium of inner planets in Taurus.

Moon in Water Signs

The natal placement of a woman’s Moon has a significant impact on her physical appearance. Women with their Moon in a Water sign are generally voluptuous and feminine.

Moon in Scorpio:

Scorpio rules the reproductive organs and the anus. Scorpio is a water sign, and women with Scorpio placements, especially the Moon (feminine planet) are usually quite voluptuous. Women who are most famous for their large rear ends have their Moons in Scorpio. These celebrities include Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce Knowles, Coco (Ice-T’s wife), and Scarlett Johansson.

Moon in Pisces:

Women with their Moons in Pisces are usually quite feminine and bottom-heavy. Celebrities with Moon in Pisces include Kim Karashian, Michelle Obama, and Jennifer Hudson, all of whom have nice, rounded backsides.

Moon in Cancer:

These women are also known for having great boobs, since Cancer rules the breasts. Cancer is an ultra-feminine planet, and represents the “mother”. Women with Moon in Cancer can be quite voluptuous. For example, Shakira has her Moon in Cancer in the 4th house! Penelope Cruz has her Moon and Ascendant in Cancer.

Planets or Ascendant in Sagittarius

Sagittarius is commonly associated with the hips, thighs, and buttocks. As such, individuals with major planets or points in Sagittarius may have large butts. For example, Kim Kardashian, Scarlett Johansson, and Jessica Biel are Sagittarius Ascendants.

The Astrology of Barack Obama

Want a natal chart reading? E-mail me at astroladyconsultations@gmail.com to order an inexpensive, but personalized natal report!

Barack Obama has his Ascendant in Aquarius. Indeed, he is often described as “too cool”, and lacking in emotion. Aquarius Ascendants are emotionally detached, intellectual, friendly, and skilled at the art of debate. They have the ability to be both friendly and aloof. The fact that he can remain objective and doesn’t let his emotions get the best of him helps him tremendously when it comes to debating.

Obama has his natal Uranus (in Leo), and Mars and Pluto (in Virgo) in his 7th house or partnerships and open enemies. The people he attracts are usually independent and intellectual (Uranus), intense/controlling/transformational (Pluto), and/or aggressive (Mars). While his relationships are intense and passionate, they are also unique and allow for both partners to retain their sense of independence. In addition, Uranus rules his chart (since his Ascendant is in Aquarius), so having this planet in his 7th reinforces the fact that he is partnership oriented and might define himself through his relationships. Also, Uranus in this house would suggest a love for all of humanity and treating others as equals, regardless of social status, race, looks, etc..

Obama’s Sun and Mercury are in his 6th house, in the sign, Leo. Solar Lions are known for their charisma and natural ability to lead. They are inspiring people, and seek to improve the world around them. With Mercury in this sign as well, Obama speaks with authority, and his words attract attention. Mercury in Leo individuals are great motivational speakers. Obama is direct and straight to the point, while at the same time charming and intriguing. With his Sun and Mercury in the 6th house, Obama is a workaholic. He has a strong need to be productive, and is “service” oriented. He is a dependable, helpful person with a strong work-ethic. With Mercury and the Sun in this house, he might have nervous tension and anxiety- no wonder he smoked!

Obama’s Venus is in Cancer in his fifth, which indicates a love of fun, romance, and game-playing. Indeed, during his presidency, he was known to have taken in quite a few basketball games and made several trips to the golf course! This placement also indicates having beautiful daughters, of which he has two!

Obama’s Moon is conjunct his IC in the 4th house. He has strong ties to his family and his roots, and needs a secure home to come home to after a long day. His relationship with his mother is especially important to him. Obama’s Moon is in Gemini. Lunar Geminians are quick-witted and emotionally detached. These people are fact collectors, and are curious about the world around them. They have the uncanny ability of being able to tell what other people want to hear. This placement suggests he is an excellent debater, as he is mentally alert and quick-witted.

Obama’s Jupiter and Saturn conjunction are located in his 12th house. Having Jupiter in the 12th indicates Obama needs his alone time, and may keep his religious and spiritual views as private as possible. He has great faith in the future. This position also suggests the native has a “guardian angel”, watching over him and helping him through difficult periods. He loves humanity, and desires to help the unfortunate. Saturn in this house often indicates an absent father (his father was not a part of Obama’s life). It also indicates a need to serve the less fortunate.

These two planets in the 12th oppose Obama’s Mercury in the 6th house, which reinforces his need to feel helpful and be of service to others. The conflict here lies between the need to help others in contrast to the need for solitude. However, Obama’s planets are heavily concentrated in the right side of his chart, which indicates that his relationships with others are more important to him than his own needs.

Jupiter opposing his Mercury suggests he may be prone to exaggeration, while Saturn opposing his Mercury would indicate self-censoring when it comes to verbal expression. Jupiter and Saturn are opposite in many ways. While the Mercury-Saturn aspect indicates he chooses his words carefully and is careful about what he reveals to others, the Mercury-Jupiter opposition indicates he can be reckless in jumping to conclusions. This aspect can produce a see-saw effect between logical thinking and overly idealistic though processes. I see both in Obama; he is not always quick to answer, and he often “uhs” and “ahs” between words. At the same time, he is very idealistic and makes big plans and big promises.

If these two aspects weren’t enough, Neptune also squares his natal Mercury! His Neptune is located in his 9th house, which suggests an inclination towards travel, religion and higher education. He is very intuitive, as well as philosophical and prophetic. With the square to Mercury, Obama might find it hard to take a hard stance on anything. This aspect also indicates someone whose communication may have many pauses or digressions. This aspect tends to cloud logical thinking in favor of imagination and creativity. I suppose this is why he often uses a teleprompter! Nevertheless, this aspect indicates someone who is a great story-teller with a flair for drama. He has the ability to “read” people, without them having to say a thing.

In addition to squaring his Mercury, Obama’s 9th house Neptune also squares his natal Sun. This would add to Obama’s idealistic stance in government. He easily trusts people, and is sensitive to the suffering of others, which makes him susceptible to being taken advantage of. This aspect often denotes a distant or absent father figure, and the native having a glorified view of his father. People with this aspect often engage in self-destructive tendencies, but Obama’s chart has enough positive Saturn aspects to keep him in check.

Finally, Obama’s natal Chiron is located in his first house. You can usually pick out a 1st house Chiron person by observing if they have any scars on their face. There are a few unusual scars on Obama’s head, but I am unsure of their origin. Having Chiron in the 1st house also indicates someone who puts the needs of others ahead of his own. He is wonderful at giving others advice, yet has trouble following the same advice. This reinforces Obama’s desire to fight for the underdog and make the world a better place.

The Natal Chart of Felix Baumgartner

Felix has Saturn in Aries conjunct his Sun in Taurus. Saturn is in “fall” in Aries, meaning Saturn is not in a favorable position in this sign. Saturn is the planet of caution, while Aries is the planet of action and aggression. As a result, an inner conflict often plagues individuals with his placement. Saturn in Aries individuals supposedly dislike taking risks, and choose their battles carefully. On the other hand, they may overcompensate for this by taking reckless risks!

With his Sun in Taurus, Felix is very patient, determined, and stubborn. When he decides to do something, there is almost nothing that can stop him. Combine this with a conjunction to disciplined Saturn, and you have someone who sees his tasks all the way through.

Felix’s chart features a Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto conjunction. Jupiter with Uranus indicates the individual is naturally restless, and dislikes any restrictions to his freedom. Individuals with Jupiter conjunct Pluto possess great determination in achieving their goals, and have the desire to live their lives to the fullest! Uranus conjunct Pluto is a “generational” aspect, meaning the people born within a few years of this date all have this aspect. This aspect fosters change and encourages innovative breakthroughs.

This conjunction is in quincunx aspect to his Sun/Saturn conjunction. The quincunx from Uranus represents tension, and often manifests as a desire to express oneself in an original way. The quincunx from Pluto indicates he has a strong need to be himself, and enjoy puzzling others with their wacky ideas, but this is simply a mask for their darker sides. The quincunx from Jupiter indicates a tension regarding personal success. People with this aspect are prone to excesses due to their tendency to push hard for success. Neptune also makes a quincunx aspect to his Sun, indicating that Felix has a strong desire for fame and recognition.

Felix’s Mars in Sagittarius is in square aspect to his natal Pluto. In Sagittarius, Mars has high levels of physical energy, as well as enthusiasm. This placement indicates someone who feels he is invincible, due to an innate sense of confidence and optimism. With the square from Pluto, he is reckless (duh!) and forceful in action. He has quite a temper, and has a strong need for physical activity. People with this placement are naturally energetic, and require a suitable channel for directing their inner aggression.

Felix’s Jupiter and Uranus are conjunct his natal South Node. Uranus is the planet of radical change, while the South Node represents what we’re comfortable with. Add in Jupiter, and we have someone who is familiar and comfortable with change, pandemonium, and unusual, reckless behavior. So, what does a man who is comfortable with radical change and complete chaos do? He jumps out of a balloon from the stratosphere, of course!

Transits on the day of the jump:

Not surprisingly, transiting retrograde Jupiter was exactly opposite Baumgartner’s natal Mars in Sagittarius the day of the jump. Jupiter expands whatever it touches, so his feelings of optimism, recklessness, and his overall energy were expanded that day.

Transiting Saturn was opposite his natal Sun/Saturn conjunction. This transit indicates a period of culmination, leading to an increase in status or responsibility. Hard-work is acknowledged at this time, though not without an incredible amount of pressure and fear.

The Sun in Synastry

Need a synastry chart reading? Do you wonder how your mate really feels about you? Order a synastry report at astroladyconsultations@gmail.com and find out now!

Sun in harmonious aspect (conjunction, sextile, trine) to another person’s Sun

This is a very helpful aspect in synastry. If your Sun is in harmonious aspect to another person’s Sun, it indicates mutual understanding of each other’s overall personality. You don’t have to explain yourselves to one another; you just “get” each other. Fire and Air signs are in harmonious aspects to one another, and Water and Earth signs are in positive aspect to one another. Air feeds fire, and Water and Earth are a fertile mix. If your Suns are in the same element, your overall characteristics are very similar in important ways, making it easy to appreciate and understand each other’s needs. On the downside, familiarity breeds contempt; your partner may exhibit qualities you like least about yourself, and vice-versa. This is especially applicable to the conjunction. Nevertheless, this is a great aspect for friendship, as well as for a romantic relationship.

Sun opposite Sun:

Ever hear the phrase, “opposites attract”? This is an intriguing aspect. You have many differences, but at the same time, you balance each other out. Indeed, your personalities are complementary to one another. At the same time, there is a fundamental difference in your temperaments, which can lead to conflict. The Sun is a masculine planet, so beware of ego clashes!

Sun square Sun

If your Suns are square, it means they share the same modality (i.e. Geminis and Virgos are both mutable, Capricorns and Libras are both cardinal, etc..).  This means you handle life’s problems in a similar way. However, the square also indicates you differ in temperament and life goals, which can lead to conflict. This aspect indicates a lack of understanding of each other’s personalities. If you are both mutable, your changeable and adaptable natures may cause you to drift apart; if you are both Cardinal, you are both dynamic, action-oriented, which can give rise to competitiveness; If you are both Fixed, the both of you are stubborn, loyal, and attached, so it may be easy to feel “stuck” with each other.

Sun conjunct, sextile or trine the other person’s Moon

This is one of the strongest aspects two people can have in synastry. This is especially powerful if the woman is the Moon person, and the man is the Sun person. This is because in a Sun-Moon combo in synastry, the Moon person tends to be the more dependent, supportive person, while the Sun leads the relationship, and some men feel uncomfortable in the “submissive” role. Either way, this is a strong indicator of overall compatibility. There is a feeling that you can rely on one another. This aspect is often found in the synastry charts of married couples.

Sun opposite Moon

This is a binding aspect to be found between lovers. With this aspect, a mutual attraction is present. However, the Moon person may find the Sun person insensitive and overbearing, while the Sun person may find the Moon person overly dependent and overly sensitive. The Moon person may feel the Sun person stomps all over their feelings, and the Sun person may not even be aware of this! Regardless, oppositions in synastry are complementary.

Sun square Moon

This aspect is more problematic than the opposition. The Moon person may find the Sun person overly rational, dictatorial, and selfish, while the Sun person may find the Moon person overly sensitive and emotional. Attraction to one another is present, but it is not without tension and competitiveness. They find it hard to support one another, because there is a basic misunderstanding over what each person needs.

Sun conjunct, sextile, or trine Mercury

Mercury synastry aspects are undervalued in astrology, in my opinion. What kind of relationship can you have, if you can’t even talk to one another. Sun-Mercury aspects in synastry are thus very important. In harmonious aspect, Sun-Mercury aspects stimulate communication between partners. They like to speak to one another, and have similar intellectual interests. This isn’t an indicator of a wild, passionate romance, but having good communication with your mate is one of the most important aspects of a successful relationships.

Sun opposite Mercury

This aspect indicates a difference of opinions and perspectives on intellectual issues. This aspect indicates lively mental exchanges and interesting conversations.

Sun square Mercury

With this aspect, there comes a tendency to criticize each other’s viewpoints. The Sun person may feel sensitive to Mercury’s criticism, and Mercury may find the Sun person defensive. It’s hard to “get” what the other is saying with this aspect. With a little patience and understanding, you can learn a lot from one another.

Sun conjunct, sextile, or trine the other person’s Venus

This is a very positive aspect to find in synastry. The Venus finds the Sun person attractive, and the Sun person feels loved and adored around the Venus person. Indeed, being around the Venus person gives the Sun person an ego boost! The Venus person instinctively knows how to love the Sun person. This isn’t an indicator of sexual attraction, but rather one of pure love and affection. This is a wonderful aspect to find in friendships, as well.

Sun opposite Venus

This aspect is commonly found in long-term relationships. With this aspect, you like spending time with each other and socializing together. This aspect indicates a deep friendship based on mutual interests. However, the Venus person might feel underappreciated in her efforts to please the Sun person, while the Sun person may find the Venus person superficial and self-indulgent.

Sun square Venus

This aspect definitely produces mutual attraction, but can cause problems in terms of understanding each other’s values. The Venus person may feel the Sun person doesn’t appreciate her efforts to please him, and the Sun person may find the Venus person superficial. This aspect can indicate a real lack of caring and consideration for one another, especially on the part of the Venus person.

Sun conjunct, sextile, or trine Mars

This is a great aspect, as it indicates sexual attraction to one another, especially on the part of the Mars person. You energize one another, and respect each other’s individuality. This aspect also indicates a healthy competitiveness between the two of you.

Sun opposite Mars

This is an indicator of strong sexual attraction! Hot, hot, hot! Since Sun and Mars are both masculine planets, it can cause ego clashes, as well. You may try to dominate the other because of this. This aspect is an indicator of conflict and power struggles.

Sun square Mars

This aspect often produces conflict, and even violence, but is an indicator of attraction at the same time. Competitiveness and ego clashes characterize this aspect. You are likely to react to each other in an impulsive manner. It’s likely that you rub each other the wrong way, and know how to get under each other’s skin. You always feel the need to explain your actions to one another, which can be quite draining.

Sun conjunct, sextile or trine Jupiter

This aspect injects your relationship with enthusiasm, optimism, and trust. The Jupiter fosters the Sun person’s self-confidence. Jupiter is generous and trusting towards the Sun person, and the Sun person vitalizes the Jupiter person. You two make wonderful travel companions. You desire to make each other happy, and this will last throughout your relationship.

Sun opposite or square Jupiter

While this aspect indicates mutual generosity and trust, you may tend to overindulge the other. You have a strong desire to make each other happy, but may tend to expect too much from the partnership, which can lead to disappointment. Jupiter has the natural ability to lift up the Sun person’s spirits. Beware of the danger of overspending with one another.

Sun conjunct Saturn

This is a binding connection. The Saturn person stabilizes the Sun person, and the couple truly feels they can depend on one another. You take responsibilities to one another seriously, which is conducive to any successful long-term relationship. However, the Saturn person may be somewhat of a wet blanket to the Sun person. This is because the Sun person brings out the Saturn’s person’s insecurities. Fearing the Sun person’s withdrawal of interest, the Saturn person may criticize and judge the Sun person. Due to this criticism, the Sun person’s self-confidence and enthusiasm may decrease. It is easy for the couple to feel stifled and restricted by the relationship.

Sun sextile or trine Saturn

This is a very helpful aspect in synastry. Saturn feels dedicated and responsible towards the Sun person, and the Sun is supportive of the Saturn person. This aspect indicates the two of you desire to build a lasting relationship together, full of commitment and dedication. In a marriage, you will be dedicated and helpful to one another.

Sun opposite or square Saturn

This is a very difficult aspect to find in synastry, yet it is commonly found in the synastry charts of married couples! Like the conjunction, this aspect indicates the tendency for the Saturn to criticize and nag the Sun person. The Sun person feels blocked and discouraged by the Saturn person. It is as if whatever the Sun person does, it is not good enough for the Saturn person. Still, the feeling of responsibility and duty to one another is present.

Sun conjunct Uranus

This is an electrifying, though unstable aspect. The Sun person finds the Uranus person exciting and unique, yet at the same time unstable and non-committal. This relationship is bound to be spontaneous, but the ability to truly count on one another is tarnished with this aspect. You may have met each other suddenly, and fallen for each other instantly, but maintaining this level of excitement may be the key to making this relationship work. The Uranus person is likely to feel trapped by the Sun person when the relationship gets too routine and stable.

Sun sextile or trine Uranus

This is a positive aspect to find in a synastry chart. You encourage each other’s freedom and independence. Electricity and spontaneity characterize this relationship, but not in an upsetting way like in the case of the conjunction, opposition, or square. This relationship is not suffocating, but not radically unstable, either. A strong attraction to each other is present, especially on the part of the Sun person.

Sun square or opposite Uranus

This is an unstable aspect, and is not conducive to long-term relationships. The relationship most likely started quickly, full of excitement and mutual attraction. However, over time, the Uranus person is likely to feel stifled or “trapped” by the Sun person, and the Sun person is likely to find the Uranus person unpredictable and unstable. The couple may be separated at key moments, and may not be able to truly rely on one another in the long-term.

Sun conjunct Neptune

This is a tricky aspect. While this aspect indicates a strong spiritual connection, it can also lead to deception and dishonesty. The Sun person is likely to see the Neptune person as a soul mate, but this idea may not be based on reality. The Sun person may love the Neptune person for who he thinks she is, rather than who she actually is. Neptune may play along in order to appease the Sun person. This aspect can also indicate a ‘victim-savior’ relationship, in which one depends strongly on the other for support and guidance.

Sun sextile or trine Neptune

This aspect indicates the couple shares a romantic, spiritual bond. You easily forgive each other, and are conscious of each other’s needs. Love easily flows between the two of you. There is a feeling that you have found your soul mate, as you are attuned to each other’s feelings.

Sun square or opposite Neptune

This aspect can indicate delusion and deception. The Sun person may believe he has found his soul mate in the Neptune person, and the Neptune person may play into this role in order to please the Sun person. The Neptune may end up promising more than they can deliver, which can eventually lead to disappointment on the part of the Sun person. Misunderstandings are likely when Neptune is involved in synastry. It is important that you are clear with one another about what you expect out of the relationship.

Sun conjunct Pluto

Pluto is the planet of “no Bullshit”, so there is nothing superficial about this union! Like a moth to a flame, the Sun person is drawn to the Pluto person. The Sun person is likely to be mesmerized and fascinated to the Pluto.  The Pluto usually has the upper hand in the relationship, as the Sun person is enthralled, and even obsessed, with the Pluto person. The Sun person stimulates Pluto’s jealousy and possessiveness. The fear of losing one another is present, as is the desire to know each other’s deepest secrets. This is an indicator of a deep attraction and a powerful sexual connection.

Sun sextile or trine Pluto

This aspect indicates mutual fascination, and the desire to delve into the depths of each other’s minds. This aspect is a lot like the conjunction, except it is less dramatic.

Sun opposite or square Pluto

The two of you have a profound, transformative effect on each other. You experience emotions you never even knew you had as a result of this relationship. This is an indicator of a love-hate relationship. This relationship is characterized by power struggles, as the two of you wish to dominate the other. You are compelled to find out every detail about each other’s lives, and this desire often leads to unhealthy obsession and possessiveness. If you two break up, it will be very difficult to remain friends.

Ascendant through the Signs

Want a full report, personally written by an experienced astrologer, for a cheap price? E-mail me at astroladyconsultations@gmail.com, and join the hundreds of people who have requested my services!

Your Ascendant, also known as your Rising Sign, is the sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at the time you were born. The Ascendant is specific to the time and place the person was born. Your Ascendant is just as important as your Sun and Moon signs because all the aspects in the chart are filtered through this sign.

The Ascendant is your public persona, the Mask you wear when you first meet people; it’s the “first impression” you give to those around you. Ever been told, “Wow, I thought you were so shy/serious/emotional/optimistic/detached when we first met, but you’re not like that at all!”, or something along those lines? This is often the case when the Sun and Moon signs are in different signs than your Ascendant. The Ascendant also describes your physical characteristics, style, and mannerisms.

  • Fire Ascendants are optimistic, enthusiastic and friendly.
  • Earth Ascendants are practical, serious, and shy.
  • Air Ascendants are intellectual, communicative, and independent.
  • Water Ascendants are emotional, intuitive, and self-protective.

The Descendant is located exactly opposite your Ascendant. For example, if my Ascendant is at 16 degrees Virgo, my Descendant is at 16 degrees Pisces. The Descendant describes what kind of partner we attract.

Ascendant in Aries:

You are decisive and quick to the point. You have a quick temper that dies down easily, and you don’t hold grudges. You have a competitive edge to you, and love to be active. You are very independent and self-reliant. You are honest, and make a great leader. You may appear impatient and rude to others, even if you’re not like that on the inside. You can be quite charming to the opposite sex, and you enjoy the chase. You may also appear selfish to others, because you appear to be focused on yourself and your own goals. You are full of energy, and love participating in sports and competition. You are also popular and well-liked.

With Libra on the Descendant, you attract refined, diplomatic mates. The people you attract are generally intellectual and social. They tend to be partnership oriented, and think about “we”, instead of “me”.

Aries risings are generally athletic-looking.

Ascendant in Taurus:

You appear steady, responsible, and stubborn. You have a strong presence, and are very patient. You are likely to be set in your ways, careful, and practical. You love the good things in life, and can be quite self-indulgent. Material possessions are important to you, so you might have the reputation of being a bit materialistic. You are usually well dressed, and love good food and wine. You may treat your partner as if he or she is your personal property, and demand loyalty from your loved ones and friends. You are very sensual and passionate, especially once you’re in a committed relationship. People find you soothing and attractive. Ruled by Venus, most of you are well-mannered.

With Scorpio on the 7th house cusp, you attract loyal, intense partners. You tend to attract partners who are magnetic, passionate, and powerful. Your partner may be very possessive of you, and you of them.

Ascendant in Gemini

You appear restless, impatient, and always on the go. You are chatty, and have a great way with words. You appear unemotional and detached, yet friendly and curious. You tend to analyze everything around you, and you have strong powers of perception. People find you witty and charming. Your attention span is short, and you tend to bore easily. You have the uncanny ability to know what people want to hear. You are a great multitasker, and may have talents in the fields of writing, sales, or teaching. You are a social butterfly with a wide social circle. You don’t let people close to you easily, as you enjoy your space and freedom. You expect space from your partners, and give them the same.
