Neptune-Neptune Aspects

Neptune in conjunction to another person’s Neptune indicates you two are likely around the same age. This aspect indicates the two of you connect over shared spiritual goals and reinforce each other’s dreams and fantasies. It is important to check how each person’s Neptune is aspected for more information.

For example, if Person A’s Venus is square their Neptune, Person B’s Neptune is also square Person A’s Neptune. In this case, Person B reinforces Person A’s relationship fantasies and illusions, and may deceive Person A in some way (and Person A is likely deceiving themselves, as well).

Neptune in trine or sextile aspect to another person’s Neptune is a sweet aspect. It indicates they bond over spiritual matters, and are very sensitive to each other’s moods and feelings.

Neptune square or opposite another person’s Neptune indicates a large age difference between the two. This aspect indicates the two partners are at odds with each other, particularly when it comes to spirituality and intuition. It may be difficult for these two to get a ‘read’ on each other, and there may be many misunderstandings between them. The two of them may inadvertently deceive or play into each other’s fantasies.

Pluto-Neptune Aspects

Neptune in conjunction to another person’s Pluto indicates a deeply transformative spiritual bond.  This is a generational aspect, but it can still be significant, especially if Neptune and Pluto are powerfully aspected in each person’s respective natal chart. The Neptune person feels empowered by the Pluto person, and feels their intuition and spirituality are strengthened by their relationship.

In addition, the Neptune person may feel very ‘exposed’ by the Pluto person, for the Pluto person has significant insight into the Neptune person’s inner world. The Pluto person has a lot of control over the the Neptune person’s spiritual practices, fantasies, and imagination.

Neptune in trine or sextile aspect to another person’s Pluto is a sweet aspect. It indicates a powerful spiritual bond between the two that is helpful in any relationship.

Neptune square or opposite another person’s Pluto indicates there may be power struggles in this relationship between the couple. The Pluto person wants to transform the Neptune person, particularly when it comes to the Neptune person’s spirituality, ideals, compassion, and delusions.

The Neptune person may not appreciate the Pluto person’s desire to overpower or control them. At the same time, the Pluto person might find the Neptune person over idealistic and hard to understand. Pluto wants absolute truth and honesty, and may become irritated with Neptune’s vague and confusing actions. As a result, these two may experience conflicts and power struggles in their relationship.

Natal Neptune in the 1st house

Neptune is the planet of dreams, illusions, deception, spirituality, and compassion. It is the natural ruler of the 12th house and Pisces.

The house placement of your natal Neptune shows where you are elusive or idealistic, whether you mean to be or not! Not only does Neptune lead to deceiving others, but it usually begins with self-deception. Neptune is cloudy, hazy, and vague, so we have trouble understanding the Neptune influences in our charts, as well.

In this article, I discuss what it’s like to have Neptune in the 1st house.

What is the 1st house?

The first house represents our outer self. It is the face we wear when we face the world, and what others see when they first meet you. The first house represents our appearance, clothing, and our expressions. It is the mask through which everything in our lives is filtered.

What is Neptune?

As mentioned before, Neptune is the natural ruler of the 12th house and Pisces. It has a vague and confusing energy, as Neptune, by nature, is very hard to define or pin down. This planet rules everything dreamy, ethereal, and other-worldly. Neptune rules illusions and fantasy, and represents the area you experience the most confusion, deception, and perhaps the ways you deceive others.

Neptune is dreamy and spiritual, but can bring clouds of confusion

Neptune in the first house

This subject is personal to me because I have this aspect in my own natal chart! My Neptune is in Capricorn, and given how long Neptune stays in one sign, everyone born within a few years of me has their Neptune in my first house, as well. How does this affect my life?

Go with the Flow…

Neptune is a very sensitive and adaptable planet, so people with this planet in their first house tend to project a very gentle, dreamy vibe. As the natural ruler of Pisces, Neptune likes to ‘go with the flow’ and is relatively agreeable in nature.

Further to this, Neptune in the first house indicates someone who is very adaptable to new situations. Neptune likes peace and tranquility, so Neptune in the first house natives are unlikely to rock the boat. Others see them as gentle, sweet, and compassionate people.

Sensitivity

With Neptune in the 1st house, you are a very sensitive person. You pick up on the moods and vibes of others easily, and usually feel uncomfortable with conflict and confrontation.

This, coupled with your vulnerable and dreamy physical appearance, may lead people to believe it is easy to take advantage of you. People with this aspect must be very careful and steer clear of deceptive people who want to use or abuse them. There may be a tendency to attract narcissistic or needy types who drain you, as well.

As a result, Neptune in the 1st house people need a lot of time alone to recharge from the outer world. They absorb a lot from their environments, so it is extremely important to take care of themselves by taking a break.

Social Chameleon…

Given the chameleon-like nature of Neptune, you might show different people different sides of you. As a result, you may end up feeling no one knows who you really are. For example, my best friends describe me as a Type-A, clean-freak, “prim and proper” type.  This could not be further from the truth.

Why do they think this? Are they projecting onto me, or have I unknowingly displayed these qualities to them?

Neptune is sensitive and empathetic, but I think there is also a bit of a people-pleasing element to it, as well.

Perhaps people are projecting their fantasies or ideals onto me, and I can feel this, so I play along so as to not disappoint them.

Lack of self-definition…

With Neptune in the 1st house, it can also be difficult for YOU to know the real you! Above, I talked about the tendency for other people to project qualities onto you. You might project different energies to different people, depending on your intuition.

But… Do you know who you really are?

While you adapt to new situations and people easily, it can be difficult for you to know your true self under all of those other projections. When someone asks you, “Who are you?”, what do you say? Is it easy for you to answer, or do you get stumped?

“You Look Lost”…

I want to know: How many Neptune in the 1st house people hear the phrase “You look lost” regularly?

Personally, this happens to me a lot.

Neptune gives off a very dreamy, confused vibe, so you might attract those who want to help you in some way. You might subconsciously project an air of helplessness or vulnerability without meaning to. For instance, my ex told me I look very ‘fragile’ – I’m not sure why that is! I also find that others tend to misread my signals or moods regularly, which is very frustrating, as I always feel I need to explain myself to others.

Glamorous Beauty…

In addition to “looking lost”, the placement of Neptune in the 1st house can manifest in many ways in regards to one’s appearance. Most with this placement give off a mysterious and glamourous vibe to others.

Neptune is the natural ruler of Pisces, which opposes Virgo. Virgoan beauty is clean, natural, and uncomplicated, while Pisces beauty is just the opposite.

It is not uncommon to see Neptune in the 1st house of models and celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Marilyn Monroe, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Cruise, and Cristiano Ronaldo.  Neptune is the higher octave of Venus, so this placement can endow the native with glamorous, ethereal, other-worldly beauty.

At the same time, Neptune can indicate major body dysmorphia, given the confusing and deceptive energy of the planet. There is also a strong self-consciousness about one’s image and appearance.

As a result, people with this placement might turn to make-up and cosmetic procedures so that they can live up to their ideal beauty standards. There may be a tendency to hide your true physical self with this aspect.
