Saturn transits conjunct your natal Moon: During this transit, you may experience self-doubt, feelings of isolation, and depression. You are likely to feel distant and detached from those closest to you. As such, you are likely to spend quite a bit of time alone during this cycle. You may feel misunderstood and criticized by others at this time. Even when you try to go out and socialize, you feel unloved and underappreciated by your peers. You are likely to feel sorry for yourself during this transit. This transit often coincides with a separation or break-up of a relationship, or separation from one’s family. Taking care of and nurturing others is seen as a burden at this time. Take this time to rest and take care of yourself.
Saturn transits sextile or trine your natal Moon: During this cycle, your emotional life is stabilized and steady. You are likely to be restrained in emotional expression, and may only feel comfortable expressing feelings to those you truly trust. This is a time where you realize who and what is most important to you. This transit usually indicates a time where you prefer being alone; superficial conversations and relationships are tiring and draining. This is also a time where your relationship with your family is stabilized and strengthened. You are more persistent in your goals, which will help you increase your sense of security.
Saturn square or opposite Moon: During this cycle, your home life and sense of personal security is apt to undergo significant changes. In some way, something you are attached to is somehow threatened, leaving you feeling alone and unloved. Indeed, this transit indicates a time where your closest relationships are strained. Any relationships built on insecure foundations will likely dissolve at this time. In fact, you may experience a break-up or separation from a loved one during this time. This is a time where the likelihood of emotional depression is at its highest, as you are likely to feel unloved, underappreciated, and alone during this cycle. You tend to feel sorry for yourself during this transit. You are much more pessimistic and cynical, which can lead to self-pity and feelings of loneliness. Feelings you have swept under the rug or avoided in the past resurface during this transit, bringing up painful memories.
Personal experience: During my Saturn-Moon opposition transit, I felt incredibly isolated. Even thought I felt lonely, I still did not want to socialize or reach out to people because I felt so sorry for myself. My partner and I broke up during this transit, which increased my feelings of loneliness and isolation. In addition, I was living with my parents at the time, but they were away at our cottage for most of the time. This was the case during my first two hits of the transit. During the third and final hit, I got a job which required me to work 12 hours per day, 7 days per week! As a result, I hardly ever saw my parents or friends during this cycle. My home life was compromised in favor of my career. In my case, Saturn was transiting my 10th house, opposite my 4th house Moon.
If the Moon rules, or is situated in your 1st house, you are likely to take on a more serious approach to life. You may feel inhibited in your emotional expression at this time.
If the Moon rules, or is situated in your 2nd house, you may experience financial stability. In the case of hard transits, you may experience restrictions and delays in regards to your finances.
If the Moon rules, or is situated in your 3rd house, your relationships with relatives may be strained (in the case of hard aspects), or stabilized (in the case of harmonious aspects). Either way, your relationships with relatives will take on a more serious tone at this time. In addition, your communication and thinking processes may be more grounded or take on a pessimistic tone during this cycle.
If the Moon rules, or is situated in your 4th house, you are likely to take on more responsibility at home. During hard aspects, relationships with family members are likely to be strained, or you may experience a separation from those closest to you.
If the Moon rules, or is situated in your 5th house, your social and romantic life become more grounded at this time. This transit can indicate you are more willing to commit at this time. Particularly in the case of the square, or opposition, a relationship may break up. Expressing your emotions to your partner is difficult at this time.
