Jupiter-Jupiter Aspects in Synastry

Jupiter conjunct, sextile or trine another person’s Jupiter indicates a similarity in beliefs and worldviews, which certainly increases the compatibility between these two. This couple is very generous to each other, and feel more positive in each other’s presence. Check where Jupiter is located in your chart, and what house it rules – these are the areas your partner will enhance. For example, if my Jupiter is in my 2nd house, and my partner’s Jupiter makes a sextile from my 4th house, perhaps my partner’s family helps me increase my income.

It is really important to check the house placement and rulership here. Say Jupiter rules my 2nd house of income, and my partner’s Jupiter makes a conjunction to it. This means the Jupiter person is generous to me and may bring a lot of financial opportunities to my life.

Jupiter opposite or square another person’s Jupiter can indicate a clash of philosophy or faith. With the opposition, each partner may be fascinated by the other person’s worldview, and might come to appreciate their perspective. With the square, however, the two of them may have completely different worldviews or beliefs, which may cause issues between them.

In addition, each partner might encourage excess and irresponsibility in the other. This can be a very ‘fun’ aspect to share with someone, but the two of you may be a bad influence over each other. Say I have Jupiter in my 6th house: if my partner has their Jupiter square my Jupiter, they might encourage me to become more lazy or excessive when it comes to my health and eating habits.

Jupiter-Saturn Aspects in Synastry

Jupiter conjunct, sextile or trine another person’s Saturn indicates these two make a great team. Saturn’s realism and responsible nature complements Jupiter’s positivity and expansiveness.

Together, they are able to strike a balance between excess and restraint. The Jupiter person helps the Saturn person dream big and become more positive, while the Saturn person will help the Jupiter person become more realistic with their goals and planning. With the conjunction, there may be a threat of the Saturn person being a bit of a wet blanket to the Jupiter person, while the Saturn person may find the Jupiter person quite excessive and unrealistic.

Check where each person’s planets are located and which houses they rule in order to learn more about how this aspect affects the relationship. For example, if I have Saturn in the 11th house, I find friendships difficult and prefer being on my own. If someone’s Jupiter makes an aspect to my Saturn, they might encourage me to be more social, and I’ll feel more positive about socializing because of the Jupiter person’s encouragement.

Jupiter opposite or square another person’s Saturn can indicate a a clash between the partners. In this case, the Jupiter person may feel like the Saturn person is a ‘wet blanket’ or ‘party pooper’. Jupiter may feel Saturn is too pessimistic or realistic, while Saturn may find Jupiter overly idealistic, excessive or unrealistic. This feeling is especially pronounced in the case of the square. With the opposition, the couple bounces back and forth between the two energies, and can learn a lot from each other.

It is really important to check the house placement and rulership. Say the Jupiter person is a Gemini Ascendant, so their Descendant is ruled by Jupiter. If someone’s Saturn makes a square to their Jupiter, it could mean trouble for long term relationship potential. In this case, Jupiter acts much like Venus, given that it rules the house of partnership and commitment. Saturn in square aspect can indicate barriers and obstacles to forming a lasting bond and commitment.

The sextile and trine are wonderful additions to a synastry chart. This couple may bring a lot of luck to each other’s lives.

Jupiter opposite or square another person’s Uranus can indicate a a clash between the partners. These two certainly love being together, but there may be issues around reliability and predictability in this relationship. The Jupiter person encourages the Uranus person’s uniqueness and individuality, while the Uranus person admires Jupiter’s positive and expansive nature. At the same time, the Uranus person may find Jupiter very self-righteous, while Jupiter may find Uranus to be very unreliable and unpredictable.

It is really important to check the house placement and rulership here. Say the Jupiter person is a Gemini Ascendant, so their Descendant is ruled by Jupiter. If someone’s Uranus makes a square to their Jupiter, it could mean trouble for our long term relationship potential. In this case, Jupiter acts much like Venus, given that it rules the house of partnership and commitment.

Jupiter-Neptune Aspects in Synastry

Jupiter conjunct, sextile or trine another person’s Neptune indicates an an inspiring and compassionate couple. The Jupiter person expands Neptune’s sensitivity and psychic abilities, while the Neptune person feels more positive and joyous around the Neptune person. Neptune rules spirituality, while Jupiter represents faith and worldviews, so they will gel together well. There is a true soul connection between these two. In the case of the conjunction, however, they might have impractical and unrealistic expectations from each other.

If you are the Neptune person, check to see where Neptune lies in your chart and which house it rules; this gives you clues as to how your partner will bring their positive and expansive energy to your life. If you are the Jupiter person, check to see where it lies in your chart and which house it rules; this will tell you what area of your life the Neptune person will influence.

At first, this relationship may feel ideal and dream-like for both partners, however, there may be issues that come up later on. In this relationship, both partners are likely to encourage each other’s impractical or unrealistic sides.

If someone’s Neptune makes a square to their Jupiter, it could mean trouble for our long term relationship potential. The Jupiter person feels stronger and more powerful as a result of their connection. This connection strengthens each person’s desire to achieve and transform into better versions of themselves.

If you are the Pluto person, check to see where Pluto lies in your chart and which house it rules; this gives you clues as to how your partner will bring their positive and expansive energy to your life. If you are the Jupiter person, check to see where Jupiter lies in your chart and which house it rules; this will tell you what area of your life the Pluto person will influence.

For example, if Pluto is in your 2nd house, and someone’s Jupiter is conjunct your Pluto, they will have a positive influence over your house of earnings and income. They might help you transform your financial situation, or your attitude towards material possessions.

The Sun in Synastry

Need a synastry chart reading? Do you wonder how your mate really feels about you? Order a synastry report at astroladyconsultations@gmail.com and find out now!

Sun in harmonious aspect (conjunction, sextile, trine) to another person’s Sun

This is a very helpful aspect in synastry. If your Sun is in harmonious aspect to another person’s Sun, it indicates mutual understanding of each other’s overall personality.

You don’t have to explain yourselves to one another; you just “get” each other.

Fire and Air signs are in harmonious aspects to one another, and Water and Earth signs are in positive aspect to one another. Air feeds fire, and Water and Earth are a fertile mix.

If your Suns are in the same element, your overall characteristics are very similar in important ways, making it easy to appreciate and understand each other’s needs.

On the downside, familiarity breeds contempt; your partner may exhibit qualities you like least about yourself, and vice-versa. This is especially applicable to the conjunction.

Nevertheless, this is a great aspect for friendship, as well as for a romantic relationship.

Sun opposite Sun:

Ever hear the phrase, “opposites attract”? This is an intriguing aspect. You have many differences, but at the same time, you balance each other out. Indeed, your personalities are complementary to one another. At the same time, there is a fundamental difference in your temperaments, which can lead to conflict. The Sun is a masculine planet, so beware of ego clashes!

Sun square Sun

If your Suns are square, it means they share the same modality (i.e. Geminis and Virgos are both mutable, Capricorns and Libras are both cardinal, etc..).  This means you handle life’s problems in a similar way. However, the square also indicates you differ in temperament and life goals, which can lead to conflict. This aspect indicates a lack of understanding of each other’s personalities. If you are both mutable, your changeable and adaptable natures may cause you to drift apart; if you are both Cardinal, you are both dynamic, action-oriented, which can give rise to competitiveness; If you are both Fixed, the both of you are stubborn, loyal, and attached, so it may be easy to feel “stuck” with each other.

Sun conjunct, sextile or trine the other person’s Moon

This is one of the strongest aspects two people can have in synastry. The Sun and Moon are the most important planets in our chart, so this aspect is extremely powerful and binding.

In the case of the conjunction, the two of you feel you were made for each other.  There is a strong feeling of comfort and support between the two partners. The Sun person feels supported and nurtured by the Moon person, while the Moon person feels more confident and powerful due to the Sun person. Together, they make a great team because they understand each other very well. They will naturally want to build a home and family together.  There is a feeling that you can rely on one another. This aspect is often found in the synastry charts of married couples.

The Sextile and Trine Aspects work very similarly to the conjunction, but the effect is less intense. There is an overall feeling of acceptance and understanding between them. They work well together and it feels natural to be together.

Sun opposite Moon

This is a binding aspect to be found between lovers. With this aspect, a mutual attraction is present. However, the Moon person may find the Sun person insensitive and overbearing, while the Sun person may find the Moon person overly dependent and overly sensitive. The Moon person may feel the Sun person stomps all over their feelings, and the Sun person may not even be aware of this! Regardless, oppositions in synastry are complementary.

Sun square Moon

This aspect is more problematic than the opposition. The Moon person may find the Sun person overly rational, dictatorial, and selfish, while the Sun person may find the Moon person overly sensitive and emotional. Attraction to one another is present, but it is not without tension and competitiveness. They find it hard to support one another, because there is a basic misunderstanding over what each person needs.

Sun conjunct, sextile, or trine Mercury

Mercury synastry aspects are undervalued in astrology, in my opinion. What kind of relationship can you have, if you can’t even talk to one anothe?  In harmonious aspect, Sun-Mercury aspects indicates healthy communication between partners. They like to speak to one another, and have similar intellectual interests. This isn’t an indicator of a wild, passionate romance, but having good communication with your mate is one of the most important aspects of a successful relationships.

Sun opposite Mercury

This aspect indicates a difference of opinions and perspectives on intellectual issues. This aspect indicates lively mental exchanges and interesting conversations. This couple may engage in many lively debates, and can learn a lot from each other.

Sun square Mercury

With this aspect, there comes a tendency to criticize each other’s viewpoints. The Sun person may feel sensitive to Mercury’s criticism, and Mercury may find the Sun person defensive. It’s hard to “get” what the other is saying with this aspect. With a little patience and understanding, you can learn a lot from one another.

Sun conjunct, sextile, or trine the other person’s Venus

This is a very positive aspect to find in synastry. The Venus finds the Sun person attractive, and the Sun person feels loved and adored around the Venus person. Indeed, being around the Venus person gives the Sun person an ego boost! The Venus person instinctively knows how to love the Sun person. This isn’t an indicator of sexual attraction, but rather one of pure love and affection. This is a wonderful aspect to find in friendships, as well.

Sun opposite Venus

This aspect is commonly found in long-term relationships. With this aspect, you like spending time with each other and socializing together. This aspect indicates a deep friendship based on mutual interests. However, the Venus person might feel underappreciated in her efforts to please the Sun person, while the Sun person may find the Venus person superficial and self-indulgent.

Sun square Venus

This aspect definitely produces mutual attraction, but can cause problems in terms of understanding each other’s values. The Venus person may feel the Sun person doesn’t appreciate her efforts to please him, and the Sun person may find the Venus person superficial. This aspect can indicate a real lack of caring and consideration for one another, especially on the part of the Venus person.

Sun conjunct, sextile, or trine Mars

This is a great aspect, as it indicates sexual attraction to one another, especially on the part of the Mars person. You energize one another, and respect each other’s individuality. This aspect also indicates a healthy competitiveness between the two of you.

Sun opposite Mars

This is an indicator of strong sexual attraction! Hot, hot, hot! Since Sun and Mars are both masculine planets, it can cause ego clashes, as well. You may try to dominate the other because of this. This aspect is an indicator of conflict and power struggles.

Sun square Mars

This aspect often produces conflict, and even violence, but is an indicator of attraction at the same time. Competitiveness and ego clashes characterize this aspect. You are likely to react to each other in an impulsive manner. It’s likely that you rub each other the wrong way, and know how to get under each other’s skin. You always feel the need to explain your actions to one another, which can be quite draining.

Sun conjunct, sextile or trine Jupiter

This aspect injects your relationship with enthusiasm, optimism, and trust. The Jupiter fosters the Sun person’s self-confidence. Jupiter is generous and trusting towards the Sun person, and the Sun person vitalizes the Jupiter person. You two make wonderful travel companions. You desire to make each other happy, and this will last throughout your relationship.

Sun opposite or square Jupiter

While this aspect indicates mutual generosity and trust, you may tend to overindulge the other. You have a strong desire to make each other happy, but may tend to expect too much from the partnership, which can lead to disappointment. Jupiter has the natural ability to lift up the Sun person’s spirits. Beware of the danger of overspending with one another.

Sun conjunct Saturn

This is a binding connection. The Saturn person stabilizes the Sun person, and the couple truly feels they can depend on one another. You take responsibilities to one another seriously, which is conducive to any successful long-term relationship. However, the Saturn person may be somewhat of a wet blanket to the Sun person. This is because the Sun person brings out the Saturn’s person’s insecurities. Fearing the Sun person’s withdrawal of interest, the Saturn person may criticize and judge the Sun person. Due to this criticism, the Sun person’s self-confidence and enthusiasm may decrease. It is easy for the couple to feel stifled and restricted by the relationship.

Sun sextile or trine Saturn

This is a very helpful aspect in synastry. Saturn feels dedicated and responsible towards the Sun person, and the Sun is supportive of the Saturn person. This aspect indicates the two of you desire to build a lasting relationship together, full of commitment and dedication. In a marriage, you will be dedicated and helpful to one another.

Sun opposite or square Saturn

This is a very difficult aspect to find in synastry, yet it is commonly found in the synastry charts of married couples! Like the conjunction, this aspect indicates the tendency for the Saturn to criticize and nag the Sun person. The Sun person feels blocked and discouraged by the Saturn person. It is as if whatever the Sun person does, it is not good enough for the Saturn person. Still, the feeling of responsibility and duty to one another is present.

Sun conjunct Uranus

This is an electrifying, though unstable aspect. The Sun person finds the Uranus person exciting and unique, yet at the same time unstable and non-committal. This relationship is bound to be spontaneous, but the ability to truly count on one another is tarnished with this aspect. You may have met each other suddenly, and fallen for each other instantly, but maintaining this level of excitement may be the key to making this relationship work. The Uranus person is likely to feel trapped by the Sun person when the relationship gets too routine and stable.

Sun sextile or trine Uranus

This is a positive aspect to find in a synastry chart. You encourage each other’s freedom and independence. Electricity and spontaneity characterize this relationship, but not in an upsetting way like in the case of the conjunction, opposition, or square. This relationship is not suffocating, but not radically unstable, either. A strong attraction to each other is present, especially on the part of the Sun person.

Sun square or opposite Uranus

This is an unstable aspect, and is not conducive to long-term relationships. The relationship most likely started quickly, full of excitement and mutual attraction. However, over time, the Uranus person is likely to feel stifled or “trapped” by the Sun person, and the Sun person is likely to find the Uranus person unpredictable and unstable. The couple may be separated at key moments, and may not be able to truly rely on one another in the long-term.

Sun conjunct Neptune

This is a tricky aspect. While this aspect indicates a strong spiritual connection, it can also lead to deception and dishonesty. The Sun person is likely to see the Neptune person as a soul mate, but this idea may not be based on reality. The Sun person may love the Neptune person for who he thinks she is, rather than who she actually is. Neptune may play along in order to appease the Sun person. This aspect can also indicate a ‘victim-savior’ relationship, in which one depends strongly on the other for support and guidance.

Sun sextile or trine Neptune

This aspect indicates the couple shares a romantic, spiritual bond. You easily forgive each other, and are conscious of each other’s needs. Love easily flows between the two of you. There is a feeling that you have found your soul mate, as you are attuned to each other’s feelings.

Sun square or opposite Neptune

This aspect can indicate delusion and deception. The Sun person may believe he has found his soul mate in the Neptune person, and the Neptune person may play into this role in order to please the Sun person. The Neptune may end up promising more than they can deliver, which can eventually lead to disappointment on the part of the Sun person. Misunderstandings are likely when Neptune is involved in synastry. It is important that you are clear with one another about what you expect out of the relationship.

Sun conjunct Pluto

Pluto is the planet of “no Bullshit”, so there is nothing superficial about this union! Like a moth to a flame, the Sun person is drawn to the Pluto person. The Sun person is likely to be mesmerized and fascinated to the Pluto.  The Pluto usually has the upper hand in the relationship, as the Sun person is enthralled, and even obsessed, with the Pluto person. The Sun person stimulates Pluto’s jealousy and possessiveness. The fear of losing one another is present, as is the desire to know each other’s deepest secrets. This is an indicator of a deep attraction and a powerful sexual connection.

Sun sextile or trine Pluto

This aspect indicates mutual fascination, and the desire to delve into the depths of each other’s minds. This aspect is a lot like the conjunction, except it is less dramatic.

Sun opposite or square Pluto

The two of you have a profound, transformative effect on each other. You experience emotions you never even knew you had as a result of this relationship. This is an indicator of a love-hate relationship. This relationship is characterized by power struggles, as the two of you wish to dominate the other. You are compelled to find out every detail about each other’s lives, and this desire often leads to unhealthy obsession and possessiveness. If you two break up, it will be very difficult to remain friends.
