When I went through this transit, I moved a total of 5 times! Also, every place I moved into felt ‘impermanent’.

Also, Uranus through the 4th house transits brings strong desire to break away from your parents or home life in order to be free of parental authority. As a result, this cycle usually manifests as moving away from home, or at least a change in attitude towards your domestic situation.

You may experience sudden breaks from ties to your past. Past issues relating to your personal life may resurface during this time. In addition, sudden upsets or changes in your family may occur during this cycle. The 4th house represents security, so it is common to feel uprooted or insecure during this transit.

Uranus transits the 5th house

During this cycle, issues surrounding children, romance, and entertainment will go through significant changes. Unexpected pregnancies are common under this influence.

If you already have children, they may demand more attention from you during this cycle. Perhaps your children are going through significant changes, or become more rebellious during this time.

An “on-off” energy may take over your love life during this transit. Sudden meetings and separations with lovers may take place during this time. When I went through this transit, I met so many new love prospects, but none of them lasted. That does not mean that every relationship that begins during a 5th house Uranus transit will not last, but they do have an air of excitement and instability.  I found I was attracted to partners from a variety of different backgrounds, in true Uranus fashion.

Relationships are likely to be unstable and unpredictable at this time. You may attract unconventional lovers at this time because your need for freedom and originality in your relationships is desired.

Uranus transits the 6th house

You may experience sudden changes to your diet and exercise routines at this time. This is a great period for going on a diet or beginning a new exercise regimen.

You may choose to adopt unconventional health routines, and may try out new-age and non-traditional diets. At the same time, unexpected health issues may surface, demanding your immediate attention.

You can expect disruptions to your normal routine. Changes in your work environment are likely. You may feel restricted or boxed in by tedious, monotonous work routines, and feel the desire to break free from authority.

As such, you may suddenly decide to quit your job, or you may be confronted with new work opportunities.

I’m going through this transit right now. During this cycle, my routines and work life have been very erratic. My sleep and work schedule have been hard to normalize, as I feel more stressed and worn out. I’ve also had some weird health issues pop up, and have met with many medical and holistic health practitioners to help me, but I still do not have a resolution. Because of my health issues, I have experimented with different diets and supplements. I also lost my full-time job during this cycle. Up until that point, my work life was in flux, and my relationships with coworkers was very erratic (they didn’t like me, and I didn’t see them much).

The 8th house represents sex and shared resources. Your attitude towards these areas are bound to change during this cycle. You may experience sudden windfalls, or changes in income if you depend on others for your finances. You may seek freedom from your dependency on joint resources, and feel the desire to establish your own financial resources.

You may experiment with sexual taboos and unconventional sexual fetishes during this cycle. Old, established, traditional forms of lovemaking will be less appealing. You will want to engage new, exciting forms of sexual expression.

Uranus transits the 9th house

The 9th house rules religion, travel, and higher learning. During this cycle, you may suddenly decide to return to school. The subjects you study will be inventive and ahead of the times, so areas such as technology and computers are favored for study during this time.

My Experience

I recently had this transit by square aspect, and Saturn “hit” my natal Venus three times (direct, retrograde, direct). As with most transits, I found the retrograde hit the most intense.

Saturn on any planet leads to increased depression and disconnect from what the natal planet represents. With Venus, we feel less attractive and sociable, and feel a disconnect from those closest to us.

Saturn on Venus compels us to take a long, hard look at our relationships and suss out what is working for us, and what is not. Because Saturn represents pessimism, the way we once looked at our lovely relationships changes. The little (or big) things we once ignored or withstood become unbearable, and our only alternative is to withdraw to re-evaluate the direction of the relationship.

Personally, I went through a major break up during my Saturn square Venus transit. After four years of ignoring problems and “letting things slide”, this transit forced me to re-evaluate my feelings towards my mate and, more importantly, myself. It became apparent that the relationship was not serving me well, and I had no choice but to let go.

As much as it hurt, and as much as I knew he did not want to break up, I simply could not continue in a relationship I felt did not reflect who I was as a person. Saturn over my Venus also stomped over my self-esteem, so I spent a lot of time alone during this time. Socially, I felt incredibly disconnected from my closest friends. I felt as though I had “outgrown” them, which added to my feelings of loneliness and isolation.

One thing to remember about Saturn transits (well, ALL transits) is that these feelings are temporary. Once I was out of the transit, I came out of isolation and gradually let people back in to my life. I know now that these people are the ones who mean the most to me. Saturn often causes separations, yes, but true friends and strong relationships will survive, and reintroduced once the transit is over.
