Uranus-Uranus Aspects

When someone’s Uranus is conjunct your Uranus, you are around the same age! Uranus takes 84 years to orbit the Sun, so you also share this aspect with people who are that much older than you. This aspect indicates you reinforce each other’s uniqueness and individuality in whatever area your Uranus represents.

For example, if I have Uranus in my 11th house, it means I attract eccentric, unique friends. Someone’s Uranus in this house means they might be one of my unique friends, or may introduce me to other friends like them.

Uranus sextile or trine someone else’s Uranus indicates an appreciation for each other’s uniqueness and individuality. The two of you have a mutual respect for each other’s ‘out-there’ ideas and give each other plenty of space.

Uranus square or opposite someone else’s Uranus can be problematic, particularly if Uranus features strongly in each of their charts. This aspect indicates the two partners are very different when it comes to independence, uniqueness, individuality, and freedom.

For example, my Uranus is in Sagittarius seeks ‘freedom’ through travel, philosophy, and being as independent as possible. If my partner had Uranus in Pisces, this mean they seek ‘freedom’ through spirituality, arts, and helping others.

As a result, there may be a feeling of ‘getting in each other’s way’ when each person wants to express their individuality; Sagittarius wants to travel and roam, while Pisces wants to meditate and connect with their inner world. It is difficult for these two to find a way for them both to express their individuality and freedom when they are with each other.

You must look at what house Uranus rules in each person’s chart to assess these aspects properly. For example, if Uranus rules one person’s 7th house, a square from another person’s Uranus could spell trouble for the couple. The couple may not be able to commit to each other or settle down into a predictable or stable relationship due to this aspect.

 

Uranus-Neptune Aspects

When someone’s Uranus is conjunct your Neptune, an exciting, spiritual relationship is indicated. The Uranus person awakens the Neptune person’s intuitive powers, and shows Neptune new and innovative ways of harnessing their compassion and spirituality. The Neptune person provides understanding and compassion for Uranus’ uniqueness and individuality, and is charmed by Uranus’ quirky and eccentric nature.

Uranus sextile or trine someone else’s Neptune indicates a relationship full of spiritual connection and understanding. The Uranus person helps the Neptune person innovate their spiritual world, while the Neptune person provides compassion and understanding to the Uranus person.

Uranus square or opposite someone else’s Neptune can be problematic. This aspect indicates the Uranus person has a very disruptive effect on Neptune’s realm of spirituality, dreams, and compassion. At the same time, the Uranus person feels the Neptune person is too idealistic.

When Neptune wants to be dreamy and spiritual with the Uranus person, Uranus might want to rebel, which may make the Neptune person feel they cannot rely on the Uranus person. When the Uranus person wants to display their uniqueness and individuality, they might not find understanding or support with the Neptune person. Both partners may feel the other doesn’t understand the other.

Uranus-Pluto Aspects

When someone’s Uranus is conjunct your Pluto, an explosive relationship is indicated. Uranus and Pluto are both outer planets, but their energies differ greatly. Uranus represents freedom, uniqueness, individuality, raw genius and progress, while Pluto represents control, intensity, intimacy, transformation, and death. In combination, this aspect could lead to a powerfully exciting relationship, but could also lead to explosive arguments and power struggles.

At first, the Uranus person feels their Uranian qualities intensified by the Pluto person, while the Pluto person find the Uranus person exciting and inspiring. However, over time, these two may become irritated with each other. Uranus might not like the way Pluto tries to control the way they express their uniquess, while Pluto may find the Uranus person unreliable and difficult to control.

Uranus sextile or trine someone else’s Pluto indicates an exciting and transformative relationship. These two encourage each other’s strengths and uniquess, and find innovated ways to connect more deeply with each other.

Uranus square or opposite someone else’s Pluto can be problematic. Much like the conjunction, this aspect can bring about issues about control vs. freedom. The Uranus person in this case may feel very ‘caged in’ by the Pluto person, and does not appreciate Pluto’s attempts to change or transform the way they express their uniqueness or individuality.

The Pluto person wants to merge and connect deeply with the Uranus person, but feels the Uranus person is too unreliable and unpredictable to do so. Pluto requires complete and utter commitment and loyalty, which is not something Uranus can give.

You must look at what house Uranus and Pluto rule in their respective charts to assess these aspects properly. For example, if Pluto rules one person’s 7th house, a square from another person’s Uranus could spell trouble for the couple. The couple may not be able to commit to each other or settle down into a predictable or stable relationship due to this aspect.

Another example: If Uranus rules someone’s 1st house, and Pluto makes a square to it, the Pluto person may try to control or transform the way the Uranus person’s appearance in some way.

 

Uranus-North Node Synastry

This aspect is a very interesting one. The North Node person shares this aspect with most people around the Node person’s age, but it does not mean the aspect is insignificant.

Uranus in conjunction to another person’s North Node shows the Uranus’ person’s individuality, uniqueness, and raw genius help bring the North Node person closer to their true path in life. The North Node shows the qualities we need to develop in this life, as opposed to the South Node which shows the qualities that are already developed and ingrained within us. The North Node feels uncomfortable; it is outside of our comfort zone, so it can feel quite scary.

Uranus has a very abrupt and erratic energy, so the North Node person may feel a lot of progress very suddenly and unexpectedly. The Uranus person is like a guru who brings the Node person closer to their true purpose.

For example, say your North Node is in your 1st house. In this life, the North Node is calling on you to embrace your individuality and focus on yourself, rather than being dependent on partnerships and relationships. If someone’s Uranus is on your North Node, the Uranus person might inspire you to radically change your appearance and embrace what makes you unique. It may feel weird for you to focus on yourself and your needs so much, but the Uranus person’s energy makes it hard for you to say no.

 

Uranus-South Node Synastry

This aspect indicates a past life connection that was rather unstable or unpredictable. The South Node person shares this aspect with most people around the Node person’s age, but it does not mean the aspect is insignificant.

Uranus on another person’s South Node indicates the couple feel very familiar with each other, as they have met in a past life. The Uranus person probably entered the South Node person’s life suddenly and unexpectedly. The South Node person may feel a sense of liberation or freedom in the relationship with the Uranus person, as the Uranus person encourages the South Node person to look at themselves in a new way.

At the same time, this relationship may feel very unstable and ungrounded, given Uranus’ unpredictable energy. Though this relationship may start and end very abruptly, the lessons they learn from each other last a lifetime. As with all South Node connections, this relationship may begin to feel draining for both partners. The South Node tends to ‘feed’ on any planet that touches it, so the Uranus person may eventually become drained, while the Node person may feel held back.

For example, if your South Node is in your 7th house, it means you concentrated a lot on the needs of others in the past, and in this life, you are called on to embrace independence and individuality. Someone’s Uranus on your 7th house South Node brings a familiar energy to you; you are used to putting energy into your relationships and considering other people’s needs.

Your Uranus person brings an exciting energy to your relationship sector, and may even help you learn new and innovative ways of having a relationship. However, the relationship might be quite erratic and unpredictable over time, which might be quite draining for the 7th house person, as they do not feel they can rely on the Uranus person. The Uranus person may feel a ‘pull’ towards the South Node person, but may also eventually feel drained, leading to a rebellion and subsequent break up.

The Astrological Secrets Behind Rihanna and Chris Brown’s Relationship

We recently found out that Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together. Again. Their reunion has sparked a lot of debate over whether she should have taken him back, considering the fact that he physically abused her. Let’s take a look at what the stars have to say about this controversial couple!

​Rihanna’s Birth Chart​

​Rihanna has her Sun in Pisces. People with their Suns in this sign are known for their extreme compassion, sympathy, and forgiveness. Pisces is ruled by Neptune, the planet of delusion, self-sacrifice, and martyrdom. Pisceans tend to look for the best in people, and gloss over their faults. Pisceans tend to live in a dream world, and are often out of touch with reality.

Pisces people are probably the most likely to stay in abusive relationships; they make excuses for their partners due to their habit of focusing on the positives. In fact, they often see people for who they are not, which puts them at risk of ending up in relationships involving abuse, infidelity, and exploitation.

​If this wasn’t enough, Rihanna’s chart features a Venus square Neptune aspect. This emphasizes Rihanna’s Piscean traits, especially in terms of her relationships. When you have Venus square Neptune in yourchart, the risk of idealization, delusion, and illusions  in regards to your relationships increases. This aspect indicates Rihanna tends to be blinded by love. She tends to see the best in Chris and ignores his faults. She makes excuses for Chris’ shortcomings, and is easily seduced by his advances. It is difficult to reason with individuals with this placement, especially when it comes to their love lives.

Pamela Anderson has this aspect in her chart. Her ex-husband, Tommy Lee, was very physically abusive towards her during their three-year marriage. Pamela eventually had him arrested, but was waiting outside the jail for him the day he got out, and the two reconciled. Whitney Houston’s Sun and Venus are squared by her Natal Neptune, and we all remember her abusive relationship with Bobby Brown. We all wondered why in the world she withstood Bobby’s abuse, but it becomes clear when you consider her natal chart.

Where Mars lands in our chart tells us the area in which we will experience aggression and conflict. In Rihanna’s chart, her Mars lands in her 7th house, the house of one-on-one partnerships, which indicates she experiences violence, abuse, and aggression in her relationships. Not surprisingly, Whitney Houston has Mars in her 7th house, as well.

Rihanna’s Mars is conjunct her natal Uranus, which indicates her relationships contain sudden conflicts, as well as many sudden separations. Indeed, her and Chris have been on and off for years. Rihanna’s Mars is also conjunct her natal Saturn in her 7th house, which indicates she takes her relationships very seriously, and has tremendous staying power. She has tremendous determination in making her relationships work.

Chris Brown

​Chris Brown has a heck of a lot of Taurus in his Chart; his Sun, Moon, and Venus are in this sign. Taurus is a fixed sign, meaning they are stubborn and resistant to change. If you’ve ever dated a Taurus guy, you know these guys tend to hold on. They are very possessive; they like knowing someone is ‘theirs’, as it makes them feel secure. They are usually quite calm and cool, but can have explosive tempers.

Chris’ natal Pluto in Scorpio is opposite his stellium in Taurus. This explains the root of his temper perfectly. Oppositions in the natal chart signify the person has a difficult time integrating the energies of the opposing planets. As a result, the person tends to swing back and forth between them. In Chris’ case, his Pluto opposite Sun/Moon/Venus conjunction indicates his personality swings between the extremes of light and dark. This aspect indicates he he has power and control issues.

With the opposition to his Sun and Moon, Iwouldn’t be surprised if Chris witnessed abuse via his parents. In fact, his natal Pluto is in his 4th house, with Scorpio on the cusp. This is a strong indicator of an abusive household. With his Venus opposite Pluto aspect, Chris has definite control issues when it comes to love. He is prone to jealousy, manipulation, domination, and yes, abuse. Since the opposition is in Taurus and Scorpio, he is highly possessive and controlling over his mates.

Incidentally, Bobby Brown also has Pluto opposite Venus in his natal chart.

Synastry

Chris’ Mars in Cancer opposes Rihanna’s Mars/Saturn/Uranus conjunction. This is a combative aspect, indeed! The Mars opposite Mars aspect is enough of an indicator of abuse on its own. This aspect indicates ego clashes, aggression, and a lack of understanding over each other’s temperaments. Rihanna’s Saturn in opposition to Chris’ Mars indicates the couple has explosive arguments stemming from criticism and insecurity. Rihanna’s Uranus in opposition to Chris’ Mars indicates a fair amount of unpredictability and uncontrollable impulsive actions towards each other.

Chris’ Neptune is square Rihanna’s Venus and Moon. In Chris, Rihanna feels she has found her soulmate. She makes excuses for his faults and sees the best in him. She is very forgiving towards him, and always
gives him the benefit of the doubt, even when it is not in her best interest.

​Chris’ Saturn is also square Rihanna’s Venus and Moon. Saturn aspects are very binding, yet at the same time, difficult! When I think of Saturn aspects in synastry, I think of parent-child relationships. Indeed, Saturn represents the ‘father’ in astrology, so the Saturn person in the relationship often takes on a ‘parental’ role. Saturn increases one’s sense of responsibility to another, but on the negative side, it indicates emotional distancing, coldness, and a lack of affection, as well as restrictive and controlling behavior.

​With this aspect, Rihanna beauty and overall personality bring out Chris’ greatest insecurities. As a result, Chris may become demanding of Rihanna, and may attempt to restrict her emotionally and socially. Chris may become jealous when Rihanna tries to have a social life outside of their relationship. Chris may think Rihanna is childish and irresponsible, while Rihanna may consider Chris overbearing and dictatorial. With this aspect in synastry, there is a great risk of the relationship turning into a loveless union devoid of affection.

Rihanna’s Mercury squares Chris’ Sun/Moon/Venus in Taurus, which indicates difficulty in communication. The couple has a difficult time expressing ideas, feelings and emotions.

​On the plus side, Rihanna’s Sun is conjunct Chris’ North Node in his 7th house! No wonder he is so drawn to her! Rihanna is Chris’ idea of the perfect woman. With Chris’ North Node in his 7th house, his life’s path is strongly centered around his one-on-one relationships, such as romantic unions and marriage. With Rihanna’s Sun on this point, Chris feels Rihanna is pulling him forward, towards his destiny. Rihanna exemplifies the qualities Chris needs to evolve. This is a very powerful synastry aspect, which is felt especially strongly on Chris’ part.

Prediction:

​It seems as though Chris met Rihanna while Neptune was transiting his North Node and her Sun. The nature of the relationship is usually described by the transits each person is experiencing at the time; the transits of each person highlight the important synastric connections between the couple. With Neptune on Chris’ North Node, it makes sense that he met Rihanna, a Pisces. With Neptune on Rihanna’s Sun, she probably fell for Chris instantly. During this transit, our sense of fantasy and dreaminess is stimulated. Rihanna is Neptunian as it is, but this transit intensified these qualities even more.

​The fact that Rihanna entered an abusive relationship doesn’t surprise me, given the fact that transiting Pluto has been conjunct her Neptune and square her natal Venus for the past while. Pluto transiting your Neptune is intensifies her delusional tendencies, which are already strong due to her strong Neptune placements and Pisces Sun.

​Looking at their transits, I feel the couple may stay together for at least another year. If they break up, I believe it will be around October 2013, when Saturn conjuncts Chris’ natal Pluto and opposes his Sun/Moon/Venus conjunction in Taurus. At the same time, Saturn will square Rihanna’s Mercury, the ruler of her 1st house. At the same time, Saturn can indicate responsibility and commitment, so perhaps they will solidify their relationship in some way.

Given the amount of squares and oppositions they will face around that time, a break-up seems more likely. Also, transiting Uranus will make an exact square to Rihanna’s Neptune at that time, which will serve to shake her out of any delusions she may be carrying, especially in terms of relationships.  By that time, Neptune will be finished transiting her Sun, which will help her gain clarity over her feelings and over the relationship.

Mars Conjunct Uranus in Synastry

The conjunction creates a powerful sense of excitement and sexual attraction. The two of you may feel drawn to each other because the relationship offers something different from what you have experienced before.

The Mars person may find the Uranus person particularly exciting and unpredictable, while the Uranus person is energized by the Mars person’s confidence, assertiveness, and sexual energy.

This aspect encourages experimentation and spontaneity. You may push each other outside your usual comfort zones and enjoy trying new things together.

However, the same excitement that brings you together can also create instability. Uranus needs freedom, and the Uranus person may eventually feel that Mars is becoming too demanding or restrictive. Arguments can erupt suddenly, although they may disappear just as quickly.

The sexual attraction can also fluctuate considerably. There may be periods of intense attraction followed by periods when one or both people suddenly lose interest.

Mars Square Uranus in Synastry

Mars square Uranus is one of the more volatile aspects in synastry. The attraction can be immediate and intense, but the relationship may also be characterized by unpredictability, arguments, and sudden changes in sexual interest.

The Mars person may find the Uranus person thrilling but frustrating. Uranus can stimulate Mars’s temper, while Mars may make Uranus feel that their independence is being threatened.

Sexually, there can be a strong desire to experiment and break away from convention. The relationship may feel exciting precisely because it is unpredictable.

At the same time, the sexual chemistry can become inconsistent. One person may be extremely attracted to the other at one moment and completely uninterested the next.

This aspect can produce explosive arguments. The couple may say things impulsively when angry, only to calm down shortly afterward. The relationship can develop an on-again, off-again quality if neither person learns how to handle the tension.

I experienced this with my own Uranus in Sagittarius square an ex-boyfriend’s Mars in Virgo. My sexual attraction to him was extremely strong at first, but it changed considerably throughout the relationship. There were times when I was very attracted to him and other times when the idea of being intimate with him completely turned me off.

We also had explosive arguments and said plenty of nasty things to each other. I particularly disliked how much he needed to plan everything. His Mars in Virgo approach felt restrictive to my Uranus in Sagittarius need for freedom and spontaneity.

Mars Opposite Uranus in Synastry

Mars opposite Uranus creates a strong push-pull dynamic. There can be tremendous sexual attraction, but maintaining consistency may be difficult.

The Mars person may feel that the Uranus person is unpredictable or impossible to pin down. The Uranus person, meanwhile, may feel that Mars is trying to control or restrict them.

The attraction often has an exciting, unconventional quality. You may encourage each other to experiment, take risks, and approach relationships differently than you normally would.

However, sudden disagreements and changes in attraction are possible. The Uranus person may suddenly pull away when the relationship becomes too predictable, leaving the Mars person confused or frustrated.

This can create an addictive quality because neither person knows exactly what will happen next. The relationship may alternate between periods of intense attraction and periods of distance.

Mars Trine Uranus in Synastry

The trine creates a much easier expression of Mars-Uranus energy. The relationship is likely to feel exciting, stimulating, and adventurous without the same degree of volatility found in the hard aspects.

You encourage each other’s independence and are unlikely to become bored with one another. Both people may feel comfortable trying new things and allowing the relationship to develop naturally.

There is still a strong element of sexual excitement. You may enjoy experimentation and spontaneity, and the physical chemistry can remain stimulating because neither person feels overly restricted.

The Uranus person encourages Mars to be more adventurous, while Mars gives Uranus an outlet for its need for excitement and change.

Mars Sextile Uranus in Synastry

Mars sextile Uranus creates a playful and stimulating dynamic. You encourage each other to take action, explore new experiences, and maintain your individuality within the relationship.

The sexual connection can be exciting and unconventional. You may enjoy variety and spontaneity together, and there is generally a willingness to keep things interesting.

Unlike the harder aspects, the sextile is less likely to produce constant arguments or dramatic fluctuations in attraction. Instead, the Uranus person can inspire the Mars person to experiment, while Mars encourages Uranus to act on its ideas.

This is an excellent aspect for couples who value independence and excitement. You are unlikely to feel that the relationship has become stagnant, because both people naturally encourage growth, change, and new experiences.
